I went with the Edelbrock 650 AVS II. To make the base fit the carb I rolled a piece of .040 alum. 2 1/8" long and notched the top to fit the bumps in the base, then put hi temp sealant to attach it. Backyard mech. style, cheap and it works.
Everthing came together last. Picked up motor, trans., & powder coated peices all within the week. Now need to quit draggin my feet and get it all installed.
Transmission shop has been in business for years said its getting tougher to find rebuilt TC is sending it in for rebuild. Thanks for the input. This sight is great for people working on the old C body!
Getting the transmission rebuilt. My question is do I send in the original converter for a rebuild or put in an aftermarket. The car is used for cruising. Motor 383(4 Barrel) 2.76 gear.

Picked up radiator (flushed & pressure tested good.). Ckecked on motor. Nothing done yet, but lots of boxes with parts sitting by it. Say they will start next week. Dropped off trans for rebuild. Its going to be a spendy month.
Pulled motor and trans. Motor at machine shop .Trans to get rebuild. Anyone ceramic coat ex. manifolds? Also radiator recore or new alum. any thoughts?
Had the seats reupholstered , dyed all the panels and headliner, and installed new carpet last year. This year it gets a new dash pad (purchased), a new alternator (old one makes too much noise) , a new carb, and electronic ign.
