Doesn't appear that way. The back seat lower has the foam crumbling so it's a little looser. The seat covers look to have been installed professionally and probably were installed before the foam went bad which means a long time ago. I'm amazed someone spent the $ to have the covers installed...

Yes, they are nice. I took the ashtray out on the back of the front seat and looked it there. The burlap and springs were like new. The springs are shiny gloss black. It's like getting a new interior! Original to boot!

Something to consider is the car came with manual brakes, so I tried disconnecting the vacuum source, and it wasn't that much harder to brake. So if you have younger legs, it should be no problem removing this device to save $. I just wonder when this was added?

That's great information Mccabe, thank you. Discovered it was an aftermarket power brake booster making that odd noise. It works fine except for the noise. I just posted the update on another post titled "has anyone see a brake booster like this?" This forum helped me figure it out. :)
