    '66 Newport Radiator

No, that's the kicker. It has NEVER overheated. I was thinking it was overfilled too but, silly me, I thought to myself a mechanic wouldn't overfill the radiator........LOL. I'll have to go look and see how much coolant is in it now...........

    '66 Newport Radiator

I've had the thermostat and housing replaced, both hoses and new antifreeze put in within the past year. The issue i'm having is, even on short drives, i'll get home and coolant will be coming out of the overflow hose.

    '66 Newport Radiator

I'm sure it could be...........I just haven't gone down that road yet. Mine is a 22 inch core with factory AC. From what i've been able to find so far, it looks like I will have to go that route.

    '66 Newport Radiator

I'm needing to change out my radiator in my 66 Newport. I've found one that is a perfect fit but the shroud on my current radiator gets bolted to the side and the one I've found online gets bolted to the back side. Anyone know where I can find one that has the side mounts? Or even a shroud...

Thank you very much!! When my parents first got the car, the leaf springs were shot so the rear sagged way low. We were lucky enough to find the pair we have in it now. Once we put them in...........what a HUGE difference it made.......as you can see.

    66 Newport PS Pump

So i've had work done to the power steering pump on my 66 Newport. One thing the mechanic mentioned to me there seemed to be a bolt "missing" on the bracket that mounts to the block. Currently, the pump wobbles and vibrates more than I care for it to so I took a look to see what he might be...

    66 Newport Steering Gear Boc

Anyone know where I could find a reputable gear box for a 1966 Newport......or someone who does quality work restoring one? Mine has a leak at the top, mechanic thinks it could be a seal that is gone bad. We talked about replacing it or even having this one rebuilt since the settings on my...

    1966 Newport Radiator

Thank you. I don't think it needs to be cored but a good cleaning will probably help a ton.

    1966 Newport Radiator

Thank you for the advice........I haven't seen any radiator so far that would work as far as getting the shroud mounted correctly. I think i'll just take it in and have it cleaned out.

    1966 Newport Radiator

I'm debating on replacing the radiator for '66 Newport with a 383. It's old (pretty sure it's original) but honestly, it doesn't leak. I took it out the other day to run water through it and attempt to clean it out. At first it was a bit dirty, nothing terrible. It didn't take long for clear...

    66 Newport 4 door seals

Anyone have any suggestions on where to find seals/weatherstripping for a 66 Newport 4 door hardtop? No post between the glass on the front and rear doors. I've been able to find weatherstripping for a 2 door but i'm not sure if that will work or not. Thanks. Rob

'66 Newport fuel gauge not working

I stopped to put gas in my Newport the other day. When I left the gauge read a half tank (which is accurate since I can make fuel last a while considering it's my weekend only driver). About 15-20 minutes later I happened to look down at the dash and saw the gauge was on "E". I didn't lose...
