    Tire size conversion

That is the same size I put on the Monaco. It was the closest size with a decent w.w. and cost much less than Cokers or Diamond Backs. Originals on the car were 8.55x14

Removing push nut retainer without damaging them?

I just carefully pry a couple of the flanges up enough to remove. Then bent them back and re-install. Another way is grab it with pliers or small vise grip and just twist it off as if it was on a threaded stud.

    Beware AAA Motor Club

Your post isn’t clear if your Newport broke down or you were simply using AAA Road Service as a transport company. I could see them questioning the latter yet they still reimbursed you. I’ve been with AAA for 47 yrs and used the towing many times after accidents and even to tow the Monaco home...

    Almost fits

They don’t build garages like they used to! Growing up our house built in ‘63 had a typical two car garage. Must have been at least 24’ x 24’ with an 18’ double door. It easily fit two C bodies over the years along with numerous bikes, lawnmower, workbench, refrigerator and freezer. By ‘83...

    "SHOW CAR" Build Sheet

Interesting that the Charger above was built at Dodge Main and sold to Dodge Main. Plant Mgr. car? “Show Car” may just mean to call special attention to all details. November would be about the time the Detroit Auto Show at Cobo Hall took place then. My 65 Monaco build sheet shows a 704 Polish...

    Penstar

OER 1967-72 Mopar Pentastar Fender Emblem Silver - MD7086-OER - Classic Body Parts New one on me. Never really noticed a silver star before on older models and don’t believe they are correct. I think the silver are strictly an aftermarket thing. Have seen the silver pentastar on late model Jeeps...

    NOT MINE 1965 Plymouth fury 3 $20,000

Too bad. That would have been an attractive car. I’d be embarrassed to show that thing and too much money to make it right. Perfect example of how important body prep is no matter how nice the paint job.

Yep! It’s been that way, for me, since the melt-down a while back. Annoying for sure and doesn’t say much for the site’s IT dept.

The Six Window Sedans are classic. If it were a loaded car mmm…..? I’m amazed at how many low optioned New Yorkers I see.
