Best method of Pulling the engine in my 67 newport

with my 300 vert, i did the basic same thing you are contemplating...I removed the hood and pulled the engine and transmission out over the radiator / support using a engine hoist. I did, however, do this at a dyi auto repair shop in one of their lift bays. That made it super-easy to get to...

1969 chrysler 300 front brake lines

hey everyone...long time lurker, infrequent poster...but thanks for the good info when I do post! So I had my 300 vert on on the road the other day and saw intermittent brake light flash on/off. Re-bled the brakes and finally traced the problem to a cracked in the right front brake line...

So where are all the cool kids buying auto carpet?

Hey Big_John, That carpet looks pretty cool...how did you use the solder gun to burn holes for seat bolts? Did you lay out the carpet, fit it as you wanted, then glue in places before burning holes? Also did you come up from underneath? That is sorta my plan...get the carpet in my '69 300...

how hard is it to remove a convertible top?

how hard is it to remove a convertible top?

thanks for all the tips! if it were not for a couple of rails rusted, I'd have a shop do the whole thing. I was hoping to just remove the canvas, rehab the rails and then have a shop put a new top on. I am rethinking that now...might just get an estimate to have the whole thing done! Dave

how hard is it to remove a convertible top?

Hey everyone, '69 Chrysler 300 vert...how hard is it to strip off the canvas top to get at the frame? I need to remove the frame (looks like 3 bolts per side) and have it sandblasted to remove rust on the frame runners... I have the factory service manual but has no pics on how to...

    Cam upgrade question

i think you will be borrowing trouble by not upgrading the lifter springs when you install a new larger bump cam. More work for you but then you can take the heads off and have hardened valve seats and valves installed to safely run unleaded gas... while they are at the machine shop (unless...

    Cam upgrade question

forgot to add, if you are going to buy and install a new cam, you might as well go 3-bolt...much stronger than the stock 1 bolt. But that might mean changing cam gearing on the crank, which while not too difficult is an additional step.

    Cam upgrade question

I went with this Lunati Voodoo 3 bolt cam for my 69 300 440 rebuild...hust a bit more lift than the hp mopar blue cam. Idles fine no lope, similar set up as the op described dyno'ed out at 420 hp and almost 500 ft lbs of torque...did buy the cam and lifter kit + springs too. Voodoo Hydraulic...

For Sale C body passenger vent and cable

ok, so after your last email, i had to check and you are right. What i thought from a casual inspection actually turned out to be a square access port, to what i did not examine. The actual vent door area is there, in the right shape but no door, it is closed off by a factory plate. so, I...

For Sale C body passenger vent and cable

Yes it is an AC car. The vent cables are attached to a lever that flips back and forth...not a pull like the one in your pic.

For Sale C body passenger vent and cable

Hi Gary, the vent door sorta looks right but the cable is wrong type...so if you have a ready buyer, please sell it to them! I need more research on my end. thanks, tho! Best, Dave
