    Remember when?

 My, how times have changed. I found on Reddit an even more recent package dated 1966. (Just different package colors and a ZIP code replacing the zone number.) Had I been born ten years earlier, someone might have thought these were a great gift—and I would’ve kvetched that the...

    Screenshot of the Day

A ’62 Chrysler proved tougher than the ’57 Chevy in this front-rear fender bender.

NOT MINE 1973 Dodge monaco Polara Custom $13,700

Asking that much for the car, they ought to have sprung for proper pipes (among other things). I tapped the link and eBay served up this pop-up: Ooh, five whole dollars!

    Epic Whoops thread.

Why piss off just one customer when you can piss off two? I wonder if the 5th Ave. owner is on the F-M-J forum.

    Epic Whoops thread.

From reddit.com/r/justrolledintotheshop/ Customer en route to shop after being told his Nissan was ready; he was just around the corner when shop called again and said, “…come back tomorrow.”

    YOM PLates

A whole crapload of states are now doing this: including Nebraska, the Dakotas, Indiana, Montana, and Iowa. (Iowa’s colors look like they were chosen from a box of Crayolas). I wonder if California’s system is cheaper in the long run because they don’t have to keep reissuing tens of millions...

I'm not a metal man but...

My physician quite literally told me that I need much more exercise… here’s a way to accomplish two things at once!

    YOM PLates

    NOT MINE Lee Iacocca's Imperial

Adding to the polarizing bustle-back design of the Imperial was the position of the license plate recess, planted above the taillights like an afterthought. “Oh, why?” was my reaction when I first saw it. Edit/addendum: At least it wasn’t as derivative as the Cadillac Cimarron.

    Remember when?

When an ICE truck was actually an ice truck rather than just any ol’ truck that runs on gas or diesel.

    Remember when?

Wonder how many Millennials, Gen-Z-ers and Alphas are blissfully baffled by this sign?

“Jet Driers Collide During Drying Efforts for 66th Daytona 500.” For some reason I find that hard to say fast. Good thing that neither drier driver was named something like Drew Dreysdale!

    Remember when?

A couple of the cars in that video are of a once-familiar make: Oldsmobile. I think I saw a Plymouth station wagon in the full-service gas station. Some of the films in my classroom had separate audio and had to be synced manually. Also, those film strips where a beep in the audio cued the...

    1973 Newport/ New Yorker blueprints

Not to be a killjoy, but I wonder why the ’67 “300” blueprint shows a New Yorker for the four-door.

    Epic Whoops thread.

A railroad bridge in Durham, N.C., has “earned” a website. 11foot8.com, because drivers notoriously fail to realize how tall their rigs are. Most are driving RVs or rental box trucks. Some are professional truck drivers. (!)

Modern DIN radio in 1972 fury dash

I’ll remember to check out Tayman. That’s what I decided for my T&C, especially since it has one of the fancier radios (Search Tune) and it looks good.
