dual exhaust hangers pics and info needed

On factory equipped dual exhaust Fuselage cars, I am wondering what the left side hangers looked like. There are no provisions for a hanger by the muffler, so I assume they had a bolt on hanger up on the shock crossmember, holding the tailpipe where it kicks up, similar to the one on the right...

In a 1970 Plymouth Fury with a 383 HP engine, were all the non A/C engines orange? And all A/C equipped engines blue?

    64 Dodge 880 383 4 speed

Chrysler introduced the 833 4 speed transmission in 1964. It was available in B bodies, and the full size cars too. 1964 Chrysler 300's with 4 speeds aren't common, but they were built. Has anyone ever seen a real, original 4 speed 1964 880? Did Dodge ever install 413's in the 1964 880? How...

Long ram cars. Inner fender access panels vs no access panels

I thought I would start a separate thread about this. On the topic of 60-64 full size cars factory equipped with long ram intake manifolds. I have been researching the inner fender access panels located under the long rams. Most factory equipped long ram cars have inner aprons with removeable...

interior soft trim sources for Forward Look cars?

Besides SMS Auto Fabrics, are there any other sources for headliners and seat upholstery for our cars? I am doing a 60 Chrysler Windsor and need the correct white perforated headliner, and seat fabrics- or pre sewn upholstery, if there is any place that does this. I know Legendary does not

EFI conversion with long ram manifolds?

Has anyone tried it? I see Holley, FITech and others are making dual quad efi systems. I wonder how well this would work with the left and right banks being separate like the long rams are. I'm considering trying it

Any suggestions for headers that will fit big blocks in the 60-64 Full size Mopars?

Disc brakes using F, M, J spindles on 60-64 Chrysler

I'm about to do a disc brake swap on a 60 Chrysler. I know the Aspen, Diplomat etc spindles and brakes are popular swap onto the 60-64 full size Mopars. I think the spindles and brakes from a 75-79 B body like Cordoba can also be used. I will be doing a manual master cylinder, so no booster...

    1998 NV3500 5 speed onto 392 Hemi

Anyone done it? Having owned a 98 Dakota with a 5.2 Magnum-NV3500 5 speed-3.55 9 1/4" combo, I have been considering swapping this trans onto a 1958 392 Hemi for one of my Forward Look projects. While they don't shift as quick as a car transmission, they also don't have that long clunky feel of...

61 Polaras, 62 Chryslers and 62-64 880's. Same but different

Most people think the 62 Chrysler was a 61 Chrysler with the finned shaved off. But, the 62 Chrysler is actually a Dodge. OK, let me explain... When the 62 full size Dodges were dropped, being replaced with the new for 62 B bodies, Chrysler Corp decided to use up some Dodge parts to create...

This is my car. I have owned it several years. It started out as a very clean low mileage 1971 New Yorker. 440 automatic. Reproduction C body floors. High quality stamped full floors

Who would be interested in buying full stamped interior floors and trunk floors for 65-73 C bodies? Companies like Auto Metal Direct make these panels for A, B and E bodies, as well as GM and Ford cars. Our poor C bodies are being left out. How about everyone who wants new floors for their C...

I know the 60-64's aren't ACTUALLY C bodies, but how about a section for them?

while the 60-64 full size Chrysler, Dodge and 60-61 Plymouths and Desotos aren't actually "C" bodies, they are the full size, unibody with stub frame car that the C bodies were based on. How about adding a section in for these cars?

    Fuselage quarter panel rust repair

Since there are no quarters or repair panels available for C bodies, I make my own. Inners are blasted clean and sprayed to prevent rust before the new panels are welded in. The new panels were butt welded in place, for a nice flush fit.

Ever wonder what a 65 Imperial cost new?

Have a close look at this sales invoice. A friend gave me this, from a car he had. I used an online inflation calculator, and that converts to $95,000 in todays dollars. You would have been the talk of the neighbourhood rolling up in this car in 65. Unfortunately, he sold the car to the Derby...

71 Sport Fury Mood Indigo Poly

Back in the mid to late 90's I looked at at 71 Sport Fury 2 door hardtop. I considered buying it, and have kicked myself ever since for not. It was all original. C8 Mood Indigo Poly with white bucket seat interior. Console automatic. 383 HP. It had the dual snorkel air cleaner. Problem was it...
