    SOLD 1970 Plymouth Fury I 4dr sedan $5500

Please read carefully. There is a thread on this car here: Thread '1970 Fury I stripper!' 1970 Fury I stripper! Pay close attention to this part: The engine has spun a cam bearing and has been taken out of the car and disassembled. It looks to be salvageable but don’t count on it. Consider the...

    Ain’t gonna be no rematch!

A few days ago my 70 Fury that you might be familiar with experienced multiple problems at once. First, an intermittent ignition failure that shut off the engine and turned it back on a few seconds later while going down the road, which caused a backfire that blew up the muffler. I suspect the...

    Tire balancing question

I bought new tires for my 73 Olds a while back and since then it has a vibration about 60 mph. I suspected an out of balance tire as it didn’t do it with another set I had on it. I took the one I suspected off (right rear) and took it to the tire shop where I got the tires and asked them to...

How not to sell a car. WTH? Rant!!

I saw a ‘63 Chrysler 300 on marketplace located not too far away. It’s partially covered with a tarp in the photos and looks pretty darn rough. But, seemed reasonably priced. I messaged the guy, asked when would be a good time to check it out. He says “anytime”. So,I tell him I’ll be there at...

    Temp gauge question

Would you guys have any idea about what temperature say the first mark is? Halfway? Last mark? My car is a 70 Fury. It runs around 1/3 of the way over sometimes a little more. I don’t think it’s getting too hot and I’ve had issues with other Mopars with this kind of gauge going higher than it...

    Axle bearing numbers

I need to replace the axle bearing and innner and outer seals on my 1970 Plymouth Fury. 8.75 I’m trying to find the Timken numbers so I can get them from a local supplier that is not a parts store. The kids at the parts stores around here don’t know enough to be any help! Thanks !

    1969 IH Scout side project

While I wait for my slant 6 to be machined I stumbled upon a slant 4! I dug this thing out of a garage. Hasn’t ran in years, rusty, but complete. It will definitely be on the back burner until the Fury is finished. It’s equipped with the “Powr-Lok” differential! Dana 44 I think?

My Finish does what it says.

Y’all remember this stuff? I remember when I was a kid (around ‘83) an older cousin left some of this at our house after using on his Oldsmobile. I waxed my bicycle, push mower, or anything else I had I thought it would shine up. They still sell it, and I must say, it still works pretty darn...

    1970 Fury trunk lock question

I need a trunk lock for my ‘70 Fury I. When I bought it the PO said that it only had one key and it fit the ignition and trunk and it does. According to the broadcast sheet it didn’t come like that but, who knows. Anyway, if someone could put me on the right one I’d appreciate it. I didn’t know...

    Pig in a poke cars

Seems like I see a lot of ads for cars that are what I call “pig in a poke”. These ads have a lot of poorly taken pictures of the exterior, no pics of the underside, and in some cases no under hood or in the trunk pics. The seller/owner proclaims little to no knowledge of the cars...

Is this the correct antenna? 70 Fury

Is this the correct antenna for a 1970 Fury I with AM radio? It seems pretty elaborate and out of place to me. It’s a tad loose in the hole as well but I see no signs of damage to the paint surrounding it that would indicate it being messed with. Thanks in advance!

‘70 Fury Loose horn button. How do I remove it?

The horn on my 70 Fury is loose and kinda flops around. It works fine, but rotates independent of the wheel maybe 10 degrees. I thought they were removed by just pulling on them but I’ve pulled on it pretty hard and it didn’t budge. How does it come off? Any ideas on why it’s loose? Thanks
