My 68 has the factory 22” radiator. I tracked down the proper metal shroud for it and my restoration mechanic installed it. Here is what mine looks like on the passenger side. It looks like they used a plastic insert that they were able to then bolt the bracket too. Hope these help...

Not sure about 66 but it was an option on the 22” radiator in 68. My Newport did not have a shroud but I looked around and was able to score the 2 pc metal shroud. Works great!
