    I'm taking the cowl off my '66 300 to get to fender bolts. I've got the front screws out and wipers off, but cant seem to pull cowl off. Do I need to remove the trim at base of windshield, and if so, how?

    I'm considering Edelbrock's top end kit for my '66 383. Their catalog lists their application as 1968-up. Anybody know what's different about the earlier 383's that makes their setup not fit? I thought just about all 383s had the same head geometry....And, yes, I've tried calling/messaging...

    I'm NOT making a rag joint out of a hockey puck. I'd rather not stack up VW parts either. I'd expect that even the $200 NOS ones have been sitting so long that they rubber would crack and crumble almost immediately too. Does anyone have a non-jury rig solution to this mystery? I never would...
