Fresh Air Vents behind kick panel

The cowl drains and vents in the areas behind the kick panel and vent covers. You will get fresh air if you install a vent. However, in every c-body car I've had, debris collect in that cowl vent area. When you 1st open the new vent and go for a drive, bits of old leaves may blow out into the...

195 better than 180 in my Vehicle?

About what? Thermostat? Arthritis? VA says, no cure, just slowly gets worse Getting old? Also, no cure. Rec: Live in the moment and enjoy the moment as best we can. I made my original remark in sarcasm and frustration with a medical system that doesn't help. Jim Morrison: No one here get's...

    Heater core

A lot of these parts are unavailable so you have to pay to have the original heater core recored. The process is expensive. Like $300 and up. I have used L&S once before, although a long time ago. They could give you a price. L&S RADIATORS

1972 Monaco Madness! AC compressor froze during sale!

I had a 1973 Monaco 360/727. I changed the clutch and left the wire disconnected. Compressor condition didn't matter.

    1970 vs 1974 heater valve

LOL When I was in tech school in the 1990s, Chrysler dealer techs were replacing evaporators under warranty all day long. I wonder if the executive responsible for cost cutting on evaporators got fired or promoted.

    fan shroud

I used the 2-part metal 1967 OEM shroud with a 22" Champion radiator on my 1972 Fury, but I had to cut and drill to make it work. With metal you would not have melt down issues. These 2 part shrouds are expensive. I paid around $175 on ebay. As to heat, the top of the radiator may have fatigued...

Best high flow thermostat for a 1970 440?

I would stay with the current thermostat unless it's causing your engine to run rich and fouling spark plugs.

    Shroud question

I know you have an electric fan. Is the reason for the thread that you want to get rid of the electric fan? Flex-a-Lite used to make excellent aluminum fans that pulled a lot more air than factory steel fans. Some members have put the electric fan in front of the radiator and the mechanical fan...

    Shroud question

My guess is the Wizard radiator is not set up for factory shroud. Cooling system flush may help My 1972 Fury came from factory with no fan shroud and 22" radiator. The 67 shroud fit with lots of new holes and adjustments. Suggestions: *You can recore the factory 22". *If the Wizard is already...

    Shroud question

I installed a 1967 22" shroud on a Champion radiator. 1967 is 2-part which makes it easier to work with. Holes had to be drilled. I paid $150-175 for the shroud on ebay. Can't remember exact price

    MOUSE IN THE HOUSE

You're welcome! Quality: factory is generally better than aftermarket, my opinion You maybe able to use your vacuum pump or one you borrow from a store to leak test your heater core. Put a plug on one pipe and the vacuum pump on the other with an adapter. Someone else may have a better test...

    MOUSE IN THE HOUSE

That heater core looks OK. I've forgotten: is it leaking? The simplest thing is to have it recored at your local radiator shop, These are hard to find NOS or new. This is an AC set up, so may not be compatible, but it's an example of a seller who may have what you want in gaskets Mopar C Body...

Overflow issue 67 VIP big block

I like the look of your radiator coolant reservoir. I disagree with "level with top tank" I have had 3 fuselage c-bodies where I installed reservoir below the top tank and the system worked perfectly.

    1964 Chrysler vent door actuator

Agree. Need that part # from detmatt. Then ebay adventure. I looked on Hemmings classifieds but found almost nothing for Chrysler in their classifieds. HVAC Service and parts were slim to none.
