    440Source water pump housing GUNK!

I went for about 25-30psi hot idle without the A/C on. Running 10-30 Lucas Hot Rod oil. 440Source calls it a regulator. It is a screw and lock nut allowing your to set your oil pressure. Goes in place of the spring nut on the oil pump. When I first started to adjust the pressure I screwed the...

    440Source water pump housing GUNK!

It has allowed me to set the oil pressure at what I want. Not just swap out springs. That’s all.

The one thing I like from 440Source is the adjustable oil pump pressure regulator.

    440Source water pump housing GUNK!

After reading a couple of posts about 440Source water pumps housings and causing operating temperature to be higher than normal I decided to remove the one on our New Yorker. After I got it off and checked the output passages (lower) found they were about half as big as the original cast iron...

    Radiator: Squirrels, Nuts, & Recore

Rockauto has one for under $85.00 plus shipping. Spectra makes a good product. For around $100.00 not too bad. Take your 2 copper radiators to a scrap yard and get back about half of your cost.

    Converting from RV-2 to Sanden

No my wife likes the sound of the 4 barrel opening when she goes to pass another car. This is what I had before the engine swap last year.

    Converting from RV-2 to Sanden

I got my kit to mount my compressor from Classic Auto Air. You can see it in this picture the rear mounting point for the compressor attaches to the cylinder head. Just another option.

Who has upgraded from RV-2 to Sanden?

I didn't replace my condenser when I went to the Sanden style compressor. It cools very well for as hot as it gets on the gulf coast in the summer. The pressures are right in line with the info gotten from Classis Auto Air. I'll see if I can find the paperwork and post it.

    Alu Radiator education

U.S. Radiator has a couple of good videos about flow rates and air flow across the fins. I know they are on the pricey side. They also offer a 3 pass option. A lot of good info. Car Engine Basics Repair Maintenance Tuning Help Repair this web site also has some good info on radiators and...
