    LED strip interior upgrade

That's because LEDs don't dim on voltage. You need to do it with PWM. Some of the more expensive bulbs have PWM built in to them but I'd be concerned they all do it consistently at the same rate. As not to end up with bright or dim spots.

    Underhood Ammeter Bypass

Agreed. If it's a resettable circuit breaker, it will trip immediately again if the short hasn't been resolved. A fusible link would take however many seconds to blow again, allowing more time to damage other components.

Dont wanna burn up my car

You could also install headlight relays and take the load directly from the battery for the headlights. It takes the load off the ammeter, which will then read incorrectly, but it will function. As a bonus, the head lights will be brighter. I did both bypassed the ammeter and installed relays...

Pertronix or the end is extremely #@$%ing nigh.

That's why I said if the coil isn't stock. The advice I got from pertronix said since I was running the igniter and flamethrower coil to by-pass the ballast resister.

    Underhood Ammeter Bypass

well thanks for this. It makes me think about my charging situation. I've bypassed the ammeter under the dash and I have relays to the battery to most of the high load things like headlights. My concern now I guess is going to be the electric fans. They pull over 25 amps continuous and spike...
