    Took my '57 out today

Took the '57 out for the first time this year, the rain cleared up for a few hours. Anyone else get out this weekend?

Yes, I traded some parts with a guy, he had the full exhaust in another '65 Valiant and crashed it. It's got Flowmaster 40's with Spitfire shorty Early A headers.

If I could find one, but it's not a major. The interior has some rough spots, the paint is so-so, the engine bay is the original paint, etc etc.

It is a stock 318 rad out of a '72 Duster. Never runs over 180, so it stays.

Here it is, just a fun driver. I painted it in the shop (I'm not a painter) and I rebuilt the 318, it's pretty mild with aftermarket pistons and a mild Comp cam. Ball & trunion 4 speed, and I swapped in an A body 8 3/4.

Thanks! Inside the shop you can just see the front clip of my '58 Plymouth 2 door wagon, outside is my '49 Fargo that I put a 440 in, and my '65 Valiant. There are a pile of others behind the shop too, also a '67 Newport inside the shop.

Not a 440.... sadly a 454 Chev. It was in there when he bought it. He's put a ton of work into the car and he loves it, so it's all good with me.

    My Forward Looks..

The Hemi I'm using is a 354 Chrysler. I do have a 330 DeSoto hemi as well, but as I'm keeping "on a budget", I'll be building the 354.

    My Forward Looks..

Thought I'd post a few pictures of my Forward Look collection. First one is a '58 Plymouth Suburban 2 door wagon. The Plymouth front clip was missing when I got it, I put a '57 Custom Royal front clip on it. It's rusty, but there are very few of these around. I also have a '57 Dodge Suburban 2...

    Generator to alternator

Thanks for the info. It's a '62 Windsor, and yes I'm in Canada. I'm doubtful someone swapped the generator in, it's factory wiring with an old style voltage regulator. Reason I figured I'd have to change to an alternator for electronic ignition is the ECU doesn't do well with voltage spikes...

    Generator to alternator

Hey everyone, I've got a '62 Chrysler, 361 with points and a generator. I'm looking to do an electronic ignition conversion so I obviously need to swap out the generator with an alternator. Does anyone have a wiring diagram they've done op for the swap? I'll be using a dual field alternator...
