First drive in 40 years s!

Idiot kids these days wouldn't be caught dead in our cars, much less know how to hotwire one. Even if they were smart enough to find a screwdriver, they're too dumb to realize you need to pump the gas a couple times to get it to run. They'd crank the piss out of it till the battery died...

How to open tailgate 1965 New Yorker wagon

Those motors are pretty rugged and simple. You may be able to take it apart and clean up the bushing in the end cover. That's usually where they bind up from sitting and collecting moisture.

    1972 Plymouth Custom Suburban

Nice work! Great save! I love the front end on these '72's.... I wish they've carried them over to the '73's damn shame they were only a one year thing. I like the '73's too but those ugly *** tits really screw the bumpers on them. Front and rear!

    Exhaust on your wagons

But why? Every time you drive your car somebody sees your license plate. You don't put a giant thumb over it do you?:poke:

1976 Plymouth Gran Fury Suburban Wagon

I had a '76 Town and Country with the 400 not lean burn. I think this was the year that it could go either way. Chrysler was playing around with things and they beat the system some how. Perhaps Steve, @saforwardlook may be able to chime in he was working at Chrysler around this time...

1976 Plymouth Gran Fury Suburban Wagon

:thumbsup: Fluid film is lanolin based and a very good product. I have the kit and I'm going to use it on my newest project. Thanks for bringing it up to his attention Dave!

1976 Plymouth Gran Fury Suburban Wagon

Wow! This is very intriguing. That is definitely not a standard interior... looks like a taxi interior to me or, as I said before maybe a coroner car. I think a taxi would have had a more fuel efficient engine like a 360 or even a 318. I think Coroner car or fire police would have had the 440...

Could it be for taxi service or at least some of their equipment?

    Exhaust on your wagons

That rear deflector doesn't do diddly for the exhaust fumes. When I got my TnC they had the exhaust out the back. Fumes would come in even if I only had the window slightly cracked. I finally got around to having my guy put an exhaust on it and he ran a right angle, out the side, just in front...

Wow that is gorgeous! I disagree with his babble about a Dodge front end slapped on a Chrysler, but other than that he's one lucky bastard to have found that one!

As beautiful as the "Batwagon" came out, I'm sure it was BETTER than ma mopar could ever had done!

Has anyone installed a headliner in a wagon?

As much as we all like to do things ourselves and be proud of it, sometimes you've got to suck it up... pay the man. These guys are pros, there's a talent to doing that stuff, just like convertible tops, you can screw up one of those in a heartbeat too. If you attempt it and screw it up you've...

    t & C 6 way seat removal

Yep, that's the procedure. Just pulled the seats out of my '67 Imperial. It has power on both sides. Not a hard job at all. But a bit on the awkward side. Get a buddy to help because you need to unhook the power connections when the seat is leaned back, not to mention getting them out without...

    Woodgrain options

I agree with Dave... and to me the one on the right would really make the two contrasting colors of car pop! As everyone else said, your surface prep will be key. And I feel you'll HAVE to take the mouldings off. Those mouldings will cover a multitude of sins from cutting, stretching and...
