    Gaskets or No Gaskets ?

Mopars were designed to run without gaskets, so unless there is warpage of the exhaust manifolds, do not run any. Dave

single exhaust vs waldron dual exhaust

Check the casting numbers on the driver side manifold, B-Body and C-Body use different manifolds as the steering gear location is also different. Parts book has the casting numbers. Passenger side is the same manifold. B-Body manifold is more valuable, so wou should be able to work a swap...

    69 Chrysler HP Exhaust Manifolds

You will need C-Body manifold on the driver side as the steering gear location is different than an A or B body. Download the Parts manual at www.mymopar.com, it has the application data in the engine section, look for part numbers that are the same. Dave

    69 Chrysler HP Exhaust Manifolds

'69 440: '69 HP manifold #2806898 R '69 HP manifold #2863408 L The C-Body 440 manifolds will bolt on from other years, but the flange locations and flange angles will vary. If you are bending the exhaust on a custom system, that difference can usually be compensated for. Starting in '70 the...

Check to be sure all of the rubber body plugs are installed in the floors and the rear quarters. I had the same problem with mine and it turned out to be missing plugs and a small exhaust leak from the manifold flange. Dave

    Exhaust layout

Keep the exhaust out the rear of the car, side dumps look funky and have a bad habit of scraping on curbs, etc. If any of the soft plugs are out on the rear quarter, exhaust has a bad habit of entering the passenger compartment thru the holes, same is true of any rust out on the rear quarters...

The stuff in the bottle. If it still leaks after that, pull the bolt and do it again, sometimes some Teflon tape will also be needed. Dave

Ported and or extrude honed HP exhaust manifolds

If you have had port work done on the heads as part of the build, the exhaust manifolds should be port mated to the heads to cut down on turbulence. The high performance manifolds flow better once you get to about 4k rpms, you won't notice much difference below that. You are going to need an...

    Tailpipes.....

Go with which ever size out you have from the mufflers. If it is 2.25 stay with that. On a stock engine the exhaust cools as it goes thru the muffler which is why the outlet is smaller. Cooler exhaust is more dense exhaust so you can get away with a smaller tailpipe, but there is a slight...

    dead horse im sure...

If you plan to convert to duals, the Hemi mufflers have a nice tone. What you do not want is a low restriction muffler that makes you Chrysler sound like a rice grinder. Dave
