Carburetor for 1978 Chrysler New Yorker with 400 engine

You can but you will have to check the voltage as I think it has a resistor on it that controls voltage and may not have enough juice for the EDDY

Carburetor for 1978 Chrysler New Yorker with 400 engine

Answered in the other post but I run a 12V from the Ballast Resistor run side to the carb. The choke well is left open.

    EDELBROCK AVS2

As was mentioned above I ran the electric choke feed from the run side of the ballast to the carb choke. The old thermostat well is left open.

Carburetor for 1978 Chrysler New Yorker with 400 engine

Hello Fred As mentioned above you do not need to run the EGR off the Eddy Carb unless your state requires emission testing in which case that's a whole different conversation I believe. (Being from the free state of Alberta Canada we do not have such regulations lol) The big difference between...

Carburetor for 1978 Chrysler New Yorker with 400 engine

I have swapped out multiple Lean Burn systems and carbs over the years and the improvements were well worth it. Last one I did was on a 76 NYB with a 440 and we went to an Eddy AVS2 650CFM. Car never ran better however there is a bit of monkeying around with the kickdown linkages to get it...

78 NYB Holley Sniper install.. the end of my lean burn fun

Love your detail Jav! So much of what you are describing will help me with my 79 300. I am considering the Sanden upgrade and how best to hook up my cruise control cable to the Eddy. My good friend Larry's @Lftovrs 76 NYB needs the ATC II diagnosed so I will be picking your brain on that front. :D

    Small blocks

I installed a Mopar Purple Shaft and Eddy intake & Carb on my 79 E58 300. Sounds great but haven't had a chance to really open it up yet on the road. The interior is gutted at the moment. Looking forward to a few test runs later this summer. I say go for it as it was a simple build up IMHO

    Wiped cam on break-in

I put a Mopar Performance Cam, lifters and pushrods into my 79 300 E58 last year along with double roller and Performer intake. Turned the key she fired right up ran at 2500 for 15 min then 3 more 10 minute runs over the course of a couple of days. Runs great and feels strong...guess I got lucky...

@marko I just put the new Eddy AVS2 on the RMB and it worked great! Definitely an improvement. 650CFM was plenty.

Running the 1406 on my 70-300 and very satisfied with it's performance. Trying the new AVSII out on the 76 RMB with a 400 later this month.

    Carter Thermoquad

I will be happy to have you take it off my hands Nick even though I believe in friends don’t let friends run T-Quads :poke: I likely won’t be able to hunt it down for a few weeks if that’s ok? Heading to Florida Sunday
