I watched the series, too. I actually liked the first two seasons better...thought it portrayed how things may have turned out pretty interestingly. The parallel universe/time travel plot kind of lost my interest a bit. John Smith did get his due in the end, though.
1963 Chevrolet Impala SS 2-door hardtop with 409 V-8, 4-speed, factory column-mounted tach, bucket seats with console, reverberator radio, & chromed reverse wheels. Dark green with medium green vinyl interior. Purchased for $800 in September 1969.
The Sunliner Diner in Gulf Shores, AL parks a '57 Ford Retractable in their parking lot, not surprisingly! They also have a red early 50's Ford convertible replica that seats 4 inside (that's my wife & I in the back seat)..fun place!
OMG, yes! We bought a Starfire Firenza as my son's first car - what a disaster! It didn't last very long before it was junked & replaced with a 1983 AMC Spirit that my son beat to death. (NOTE: I live in Kenosha, WI, home of AMC, so there were always plenty to choose from!)
1976 AMC Matador wagon (identical to the picture attached)...the color was definitely indicative of it's reliability! It was a nice driving vehicle when it was on the road, but it cost me so much in repairs every month, that after 10 months of ownership I figured I could afford a car payment...
We are cleaning out our storage unit (rented it when finishing our basement in 2017!) & I ran across a box of Car Exchange magazines from the mid-late 1980s...anyone think there is any value to them?
Happy 4th of July!
I had the honor to drive the Parade Marshall (and church friend) in our local parade back in 2015...it was the 50th anniversary of the parade she helped organize in 1965! She was a great lady who passed away, sadly, in 2017 - being her "chauffeur" that day is a memory I will...
Add me to the list... newest vehicle in my Mopar fleet is a 2008 Sebring Limited retractable hardtop bought in 2012 and with 82K is lowest mileage, as well. It is garaged winters, when my 2002 Concorde Limited w/110K takes over...owned that one since 2004. We bought a 2007 Jeep Commander...
