    John, The pullies I was using were the one supplied in the Kit from Bou........, I have no problem when I put the ac pulleys back on. What I need are big bock pulleys from a car w/o ac. Those are not easy to find in good condition. Thanks for the time mike

    I imagine the belt is hitting the upper water pump pulley, I can only get the belt so tight. I've given up and will put the kit (pulleys) up for sale.

    after driving the car and getting to much noise, I put the ac compressor back on. LOL, and now I'll be taking it back off so I can change timing chain, oh well, I'm retired and can only walk the dog so much

    Ok, I see the issue after I installed everything. The PS belt hits the water pump pulley underneath, The remedy was a smaller belt 3/8 wide rather than the standard 1/2 so the belt sits lower in the pulley. I had ask the seller of the pulley kit 68 NEW YORKER, oh well, we'll see how it functions...

    I called today and order the kit, PT# 4012 (crank) 4014 (water pump) 5250 (alt) Alt stay (gates 7460 belt)
