    73 Fury /6 Taxi

I can dig it. My '83 Dodge D150 sports a /6, yet scoots about town well enough. The /6 winds up and starts delivering decent power around 3800 rpm if you need it. 3000 rpm does nicely for me in town traffic. XLNT highway mileage.

This holds with other explosion-proof required environments also, such as grain elevators, refineries, mills and such. I worked a bit in grain elevators and mills in Ft. Worth in the mid-1980s, then paint booths and ovens. ALL rigid conduit, explosion proof fittings, lights. Brass conducts...

OK, THAT was a question I had regarding this product. Saw some generic No Ox in the electrical section of Lowe's this morn, but wasn't compelled to buy it. If De-Oxit will restore the metal then that puts it in a higher shelf than the mere preventative compounds. Thx.

Green ting eh? Think I'll do the same for both of my Old Mopars. Thx Big^2 4 sharing that!

Yah, you probably should stick with Edison bulbs for the dash. Today I must tend to the pickup truck....

I got by using electro-mech flashers sans the extra grounding lead, but of course had to change out both of them. The proper clicking noise is a MUST, and mine do it well. At least one company makes an electro-mech with a specially loud click, probably for aged Boomers who went to many outdoor...

THANK YOU for showing a clean LED lit dash! As I typed, I have a couple behind mine with most of it still the old stuff. You inspire me to finish up sooner than I planned.

OK, Seeing IS Believing, so I'm going to show folks my immediate state of vehicle lighting on Gertrude, the 1968 ragtop Newport. She sports incandescent, cheap, and high grade LED lamps. I suspect you can mostly discern right away What's What, but I'll tell you too, to remove Doubt...

WELL stated Big John! Yes, I've done and still DO plenty "homework" with this, and several other emerging electrical technologies. Today I took some time to bewail petrol prices and WHY they soared aloft, but I find this far more pleasant. FYBenefit, I'll classify State of the Art LED bulbs...

    Brake light bulbs

Yes, all the FUD published contra LED bulbs is now OB-SOOOOO-LEEEEETE, and not worthy of much rebuttal. That's why Stern dropped such from his website. Once Superbright started vending DOT grade bulbs, they became my FIRST choice for LEDs. Superbrite even publishes the viewing angles for...

    Brake light bulbs

I recommend SuperbrightLEDs.com or the Phillips LEDs from Rock Auto as sources for LED bulbs. Be VERY WARY of most of the sino-**** from Amazon. Superbrightleds.com started off selling cheap garbage at first, BUT, these past couple years they have supplied me with nothing but GOOD, high...

Is De-Oxit just a preventative or will it remove some of the Al2O3 from an already partly compromised socket? I've only used NoAlOx on wire and terminations, though if I SEE any sings of redux in my sockets, I'll sure as **** use it then.

    Brake light bulbs

IDK for sure myself, but my experience has been these past 5+ years that the LED signal and dash bulbs do run cooler, and I've seen NO signs of Al redux bonding such as worried (RIGHTLY!) MoPar and other electrical designers 50 yrs ago, when fires happened as a result of all the aluminum...

    Brake light bulbs

The business of LED headlamps is an easy problem to explain: the ******* manufacturers make them for the SAME, or MORE POWER than the incandescent bulbs, which is CRIMINAL in My Book. They pander to a Market for Excess instead of Efficiency. Thus, I eschew them. The trick with LED signal...

    Brake light bulbs

NoAlOx, DeOxit and such last a good long time, in stable environments. I reckon one of these anti-redux dopants would help preserve one's light sockets from Al->Fe bonding. I might avail myself of the stuff, now that I think about this, as I've gone to LED bulbs all over. The Desert is Kind...

    Custom gauges dashboard

That's how I do it! Really, its VERY easy. There are only 3 positions for forward motion, 1 for neutral, 1 for reverse, then Park. I removed our instrument cluster the 1st year we had Mathilda, a '66 Newport, and I don't miss the gear selector indicator at all. If I were driving a 3 speed...

Sacrilege! The 25 Worst Cars Of All Time

If not a Prius, then an inferior, undersized, under-powered hybrid, which represents this author's manhood quite well. "Sackman?" Yes, a glib little micro-cephalic-millenial Know-Nada. I WONDER how the little dweeb could have missed the Chevy Vega! Talk about GARBAGE! Well, 'nuff...
