    Brake booster ideas?

As much as I wish there was an alternative solution than having to send the booster in, it’s pretty much your best bet! I bought a core off eBay and had it sent straight to Booster Dewey a few years back.

65-68 Chrysler Grille Styling - comments and questions

I always thought the design of the 68 Newport and New Yorker grills was extremely well done. Although there’s a prominent beak and recessed lights, it’s still enclosed and doesn’t portrude out the front end quite like the 300. It’s a unique design and certainly far better looking than many full...

    Is this Monaco worth $2500?

Reminds me in ways of my 68 New Yorker when I got it. I was naive, I thought $1,000 was a steal for a rare car. Looking back, I wouldn’t have bought it if I knew then what I did now. I’ve put WAY more money into the car than I could ever even get back from selling it. Granted, it’s been...

    What is your daily driver?

Just got a new daily driver. A 2001 Ram single cab. Last year for the 2nd gen 1500. I’m a sucker for ‘90s to early 2000s trucks of all makes… Feel like it’s because that’s what was “new” when I was a little kid and always loved my cousins loud Silverados with their 5.3 V8s! Has a 5.9 Magnum...

    What is your daily driver?

Coming from mainly a GM family (I’m a lone wolf) my daily is a 2016 Silverado 1500 regular cab short bed with a 5.3 V8. Sounds good, picks up great AND bed is a perfect size for parts hauls. Was a rare LT package, most of these trucks were just mainly utilitarian / work trucks. I put the chrome...

1961 wagon- prayers for front disc conversion

Here’s a great video of someone who has performed this swap on a 57 Plymouth

1961 wagon- prayers for front disc conversion

You’ve got a Full Size Mopar. Not a C body, which started in 65. Yes, the setup will work but it is not a bolt on affair. There’s minimal modification to be made for steering clearance.

1961 wagon- prayers for front disc conversion

73 and later B Body spindles are the same as the F,M,J body spindles. The setup will work for your 61.

While you’re at it, get the proportioning valve too. You’ll need this for your brakes to work properly

That’s a B body but I believe those spindles are also the same actually. If the setup is complete, get it. The tie rods need to be shortened a little bit. I may have to end up writing a post both for my and other people’s future reference.

1961 wagon- prayers for front disc conversion

What you’re looking for is a 1976-1989 F,M,J body setup. The spindles are bolt on requiring very little modifications. I scored this set for about $100, spent about $70 to have them sand blasted and now I have them painted satin canyon black. They look beautiful!! Waiting to get a 62 Chrysler...

    My new arrival!

Beautiful ride! I remember seeing Charles Phoenix do a little video on this when it was here in my neck of the woods. Sure love the 67-68 C Body fast tops! My next one after the New Yorker will have to be a 67 / 68 Newport or a 68 300 2DHT!

    1968 Chrysler New Yorker Commercial

It's funny, although there were only 8,056 2 door hardtop NY'ers ever made - I feel like I see them pop up for sale quite frequently. Glad I've been able to enjoy fixing mine up!

Hard decisions will pay off! '68 will be for sale

Because the interior of the 68 was absolutely trashed (probably needed a hazmat suit to be inside LOL) - with rat droppings and the smell of pee everywhere and a disgusting moldy film on pretty much everything - I gutted it to the core. I too love 66 Chryslers, namely the 300's - so I had...

Hard decisions will pay off! '68 will be for sale

Will do! I would love to see it go to another member here. Although I'll miss it, it definitely makes me feel proud to know someone will be enjoying a car I built. You'd be hard pressed to find a nicer '68 I feel like... Sure, it might not be "all original" and "numbers matching" - BUT, it will...

Hard decisions will pay off! '68 will be for sale

Thanks pal! It's bittersweet, but the good far outweighs the bad. Next time, I'll find a more solid '68 to start with and REALLY go off with my vision. Also too, since I know how these cars are optioned now... a floor shift one would be real cool. Floor shift 2DHT Newport or New Yorker with all...

Hard decisions will pay off! '68 will be for sale

Many thanks! Her saga here isn't finished quite yet. Still need to put everything back together. I also will be sticking around here still with the new project and picking everyone's brains:)

Hard decisions will pay off! '68 will be for sale

Thanks for the kind words! It definitely stings a little, but makes me feel real good to know that someone will have a REAL nice car to cruise all around in! Plus, it's motivation for me to make this 300 TOP the cool factor of the New Yorker. If I play my cards right, I'm hoping to have extra...

Hard decisions will pay off! '68 will be for sale

Thank you! Not sure if you ever heard the story, but when I went to go look at the 68, the same guy ALSO had a '62 Chrysler for sale. It wasn't a nice one really, kinda the same condition as my 68. My friend who took me tried to convince me to get the 62. But with the busted out grill, and...
