What kind of turbine engineering? If I’m not wrenching on the mopar, I’m working on one of “my” 3, 800 MW (1,080,000 hp) turbine generators. All three are Allis Chalmers Power Systems, HMNN frames.

Too bad mine is currently under construction, I'm looking at those C-series trucks and thinking that a fire-breathing International T444E would be a good build. My boss would never approve though.

I don't know anyone that's got a donor 6bt, but I might know a guy with a 7.3 T444E (Powerstroke). It's an international motor, so it's not as sacrilegious as putting a Chevy engine in something. Gorgeous truck, I'm excited to watch you tear into it.

You got to see it at Union Station?! That's awesome... We went and saw it downtown the night before, but it was dark. Kind of made it look like a ghost train. They had just pulled fire from it when we showed up, so even from 20ft away you could feel the heat radiating from it.

My wife has been making pretty good fun of me lately... I'm a steam turbine-generator engineer at a powerplant, so anything steam powered gets my attention. This was such a neat experience.

Found out that this monster locomotive was travelling within only a few miles of my work. Played hookie for a little bit (boss approved of course), and caught a video of it.
