Another slight possibility - If it's a heavily used AC car, the condensation drain could be leaking into the car.
Agreed that most likely it's windshield or heater core.
I dug out my trim from a 68 New Yorker fast top, maybe someone can tell if it matches a 300. I know it will physically fit a 300 but I don't remember if it has the same profile.
