    1968/300 convertible

Late model motor, repainted cuz someone like red?? I see paint on the distributor, like there would never be......and that looks like an EGR valve too maybe? Cool car, just toss all the aftermarket!!

    THANK YOU ALL!

    Thats a nice looking car!

    What describes a 300

This is unnecessarily harsh. My statement was only about the fact that it would have made an interesting vehicle and a nice addition to the dealers toolbox (i said sales). I do assume it would still be a bit of a rarity if they had offered it, but it would surely be a valuable car today...

    What describes a 300

My two cents.... it would have been interesting to see how sales would have been if the Hemi had been added to the dealer supplied stock like they did with the modern 300! Def the family musclecar, but it would have fried tires like the R/T's and GTX's did in that era.

What exactly does this mean?? Any pix of what you are seeing?

    Motor mounts

Trans-Dapt also makes a lot of conversion mounts for engine swaps. Not sure about the C-body application, but id look them up....seems they are reasonable too

    440 in a ‘65 Sport Fury

I would consider something like this before I would dump money into a set of 516's. I know people have done ok with them, and I've seen ported sets.... but I still would'nt do it. [FOR SALE] - Big block 915 heads (NOR CAL)

    440 in a ‘65 Sport Fury

If im remembering right, looks like what you need is there in the way of bosses, just not drilled and tapped. Should be easy enough to go out and examine the 383 there at the front of the motor to confirm. ***EDIT*** Now i remember you from the welcome wagon....thats one nice ride!!

    440 in a ‘65 Sport Fury

Make sure the crank is drilled or will accept the correct pilot bushing for your manual input shaft. Thats a great sized car to put a 440 in!!

1963 Dodge 880 Hesitation on Acceleration

If the carb is truly an antique, it may still have a leather cup for the pump shot, as opposed to the newer rubber ones. I had this problem on my '64... I used some light oil and worked the leather a couple times and put it back in. Pump shot solid, no more hesitation.

    Water pump housing.

I'm sure you cant get new big block cast iron housings, but lot and lots of people have used ones laying around in great shape in the popular configurations.

    Seafoam

I cant imagine any need to clean up a motor with only ten thousand miles on it!! If there was a product strong enough to break crud loose on a high mileage engine, youd likely clog the oil pickup screen and spin rod bearings before you realize what youd done.

1967 Chrysler 300 bought for and owned by Walter P Chrysler's granddaughter

Interesting read, thx. I see she traded in a yellow '64 convertible for this one.... she certainly hung on to this one!!

    Tighten flex plate

I dont think i would try re-using those parts lol.

    Tighten flex plate

His crank bolts on that motor would hit the seal bridge if too long, not "bottom out" I guess I'm "assuming" a big block... I don't think he said what motor??

    Tighten flex plate

I see a couple folks are alluding to the elephant in the room here without just saying it..... What you are describing is a very rare situation.... HOW DID THIS HAPPEN??? Was it put together without torque applied to the bolts?? Is there an underlying issue; vibration, crank register, bolt...

    Transmission Id

There's a guy on FABO inquiring about a tailstock with the floor shifter bosses right now. I managed to get $75 out of just a special tailstock once and all parties were happy with the outcome.

That's not even a very good core transmission to start with. More like a spare parts trans, after you've tossed out the bad hard parts.
