    Experience Coker Repro Wheels

well we have a German Mopar maniac on this board who proudly drives original 50 year Polyglas to be 100% original but that´s another story  yep so I´ll try a different tire shop maybe I was a little too confident with the one I used

    Experience Coker Repro Wheels

no I bought the tires 2 years ago. The rims came off a car that was sitting in the pasture for 20 years

    Experience Coker Repro Wheels

I use BF Goodrich Silvertown radials on original steel wheels that I acquired locally off a car that´s been sitting in that guys backyard for 2 decades. They looked straight to me, no bends or traces of welding and only surface rust. I cleaned them with the wire brush, primed and painted them...

    Experience Coker Repro Wheels

When I got my car it had some aftermarket Cragars on it which I replaced with steel wheels to use original wheelcovers. Those steel wheels have been balanced in my local tire shop but the owner was kind of devastated when he told me he did the best he could but it´s still not that good. Indeed I...

How to force in wheel studs

So put the studs in the freezer over night and picked up @C Body Bob s idea. I agree with @stubs300 you don't need to spend 20 bucks on the tool. I used a 32mm nut and a wrench with a pipe to increase the lever... Piece of cake, took me 10 minutes to force all 5 into position. Thanks guys for...

How to force in wheel studs

the video of that installer makes it look very easy. I´ll be cheap on this one and try to stack some washers first. Should do the job as well

How to force in wheel studs

Thanks guys I´ll try the freezing thing mostly because I´m curios if my freezer which is around 5°F will shrink the steel studs. . I´ll use my balljoint remover together with compressor screwdirver and a smaller steelplate to force it in precisely even. I´ll report if that works

How to force in wheel studs

I´ve to change the wheel studs at the front passenger side as two of them have a thread that´s toast. Removing is easy, I use a balljoint remover to force them out.. piece of cake. But forcing the new ones in didn´t work out yesterday. I tried the balljoint remover the other way around but it...

    Flying Hubcaps

So today I had to remove the caps again to check the nut torque after the first 70mls and I'm pretty convinced by now that they'll stay in place. Had to pry them off the wheels with a long screwdriver. Pulling with bare hands didn't make them move even a millimeter.

    Flying Hubcaps

Alright, that calms my nerves :D I´ll have someone driving behind / next to me t have a look wether they run smooth or wobble. I think when they sit straight and tight physics won´t make them fly off, if they start to wobble the rotation will work on them and pop them off. Not bad, building...

    Flying Hubcaps

It's not a Mopar, so please don't hate, appreciate :D Those are wheelcover aren't they? What's the difference to hubcaps?

    Flying Hubcaps

They sit super tight, I really had to punch them in position. But still... I've seen plenty of dog dishes and caps flying off especially in highspeed bends

    Flying Hubcaps

So I now installed 14" steelies on my car with hubcaps. I thought I could secure them with zip ties, but obviously you can just put the caps on when the bolts are fastened. But then there's no way to reach through the gaps anymore. So I guess I have to hope and pray that those f*#"ers stay in...
