I’d ’ve been in sooooo much trouble with my late partner if I told her that my taste in cars is like my taste in women - given that she knew how much my C-wagon means to me. Then again, if she’d been a car, she might have been a Cougar. :)

If I’d been there, I’d ’ve ignored the Corvette! Funny thing is, one time I took my T&C for a forthehelluvit drive, a guy who was in his front yard reacted like I’d expect from driving a ’Vette - as in split-window Stingray!

Age old question - Fuel or Spark?

Don’t you hate that?! Worse yet, when the display catches up and “jumps” so one ends up tapping an advert where the desired link used to be! :BangHead:

Age old question - Fuel or Spark?

The TQ on my ’74 needs some work, and I’m thinking about just going straight to the “Eddy.” Any thoughts on the best place to buy one - or the place(s) to stay the hell away from? BTW, I’m a Mary Ann partisan myself.

    Midnight Charger/Monaco SS

With "Midnight" in the name, I'd have expected them to be offered also (if not only) in Starlight Blue Met. or Formal Black. It's a sharp car in any case.

That reminds me ... When I was going to college in my native Colorado (Denver metro) during the mid '80s, I occasionally got to drive alongside one going down I-70. It was gold and based on a '74-'76 Newport. I always liked it.

Hey! Formal NYB is Marvel superheroes' ride!

Yes, two cars. The one with the impromptu sunroof, I'm guessing, is for interior camera work from behind or above the couple. (A better use IMO than that low-class motor sport that most of us love to hate.) The other car is in much nicer shape overall. At about 46.5 seconds in, there's a red...

When some guys hit 40, they buy Corvettes. What did I buy? A Chrysler station wagon! :D

    EFI in '77 Chrysler Newport

I can relate to the wagon thing: When I finally had some extra money, I ended my four-decade wait for a Formal-era Town & Country. (It didn’t help that I was only a grade-schooler when the ’74-’77s rolled off the assembly line.)

Ooh... five gallons of gas! But seriously, though, I envy you for having that paperwork. Wish I had the same thing for mine. Love watching the progress you're making. Props!

    EFI in '77 Chrysler Newport

I found your thread when searching for info re: whether it's better to DIY rebuild my Thermoquad or buy one already rebuilt. My '74 T&C needs help with the fuel system - and After reading this thread - and looking at my bank statement - I'm really leaning toward pulling the trigger on the EFI...

    Strange duck- NYB no A/C

Love the makeshift conversion to km/h! Reminds me of my "recalibrating" the speedo in my '76 Winnebago (Dodge B-van chassis) because it reads "slower" than actual speed.

Mine was built on the evening shift of February 28. It would have been cooler if it had been built on my birthday, but one can't have everything. It says something about the mass of these cars that they have GVWRs exceeding 3 tons - more than my Dakota!

Where do you find the day of manufacture? Mine was built in February 1974; it and I share the same "birth month." I remember being disappointed to learn that the '77 C-wagons weren't sold in California or elevations over 4,000 ft. In my boyhood home state of Colorado, very few counties (not...

Here's a fresh picture of mine (there are others on FCBO). It was soaked from rain, so that is why the Di-Noc looks so beautiful: In between rain showers, subtropical heat/humidity, and work, I'm fixing my late Dad's Y2K Dodge Caravan to get it back on the road. It was his final vehicle; he...
