NOT MINE 1973 Dodge monaco Polara Custom $13,700

Asking that much for the car, they ought to have sprung for proper pipes (among other things). I tapped the link and eBay served up this pop-up: Ooh, five whole dollars!

    NOT MINE Lee Iacocca's Imperial

Adding to the polarizing bustle-back design of the Imperial was the position of the license plate recess, planted above the taillights like an afterthought. “Oh, why?” was my reaction when I first saw it. Edit/addendum: At least it wasn’t as derivative as the Cadillac Cimarron.

NOT MINE 1973 Dodge monaco Polara Custom $13,700

eBay has some of the same problems. I’ve noticed lots of old cars listed as “19xx Dodge Other,” for example, because the model name wasn’t in the pull-down menu.

NOT MINE 1973 Dodge monaco Polara Custom $13,700

There’s always the Chrysler by Chrysler from Australia.
  5. Mid70's Chrysler Fanatic

NOT MINE 1973 Dodge monaco Polara Custom $13,700

The same way he thinks it’s a Monaco Polara Custom?

NOT MINE 61 New Yorker Camper

I saw this car in Lakewood, Colorado in 1985 or thereabouts. Normally I’d qualify that, but a brown-and-white ’61 Chrysler New Yorker isn’t exactly a Winnebago. Besides, this one still sports Colorado license plates. Probably just as well (for my bank account) that it isn’t very close by...

    NOT MINE 1969 dodge monaco

Then install ’em, dammit! Still wouldn’t be worth the a$king price, though.
  8. Mid70's Chrysler Fanatic

    Holy Crap:

I keep telling myself to stop reading FCBO’s “for sale” listings. Lots of cars I’d like to have, but can’t buy. :BangHead: Probably just as well that I didn’t win one of those huge lotto jackpots; I’d end up being a car hoarder.
  9. Mid70's Chrysler Fanatic

    NOT MINE 1966 New Yorker

Somewhere in there is a joke/pun about getting hosed.
  10. Mid70's Chrysler Fanatic

    NOT MINE 1966 New Yorker

    Was drivable when parked?

NOT MINE 1974 Dodge Monaco Custom Wagon - $10,500 (Waddell AZ)

I might give that a try on some of my panels—borrowing the caveat on many a product label: “Test in an inconspicuous area first.”

    NOT MINE 1956 Imperial–Bodied Dodge Magnum SRT8

It might be that critical operating systems (read: computers) aren’t compatible with the old dashboards. Having airbags would be nice, too. OTOH, I’m reminded of beautiful old houses that have been retrofitted with fashionably dreary 21st-C. kitchens and bathrooms.

NOT MINE No turds allowed not mine for sale

The Imperial has been sold. I LOL’d at the reference to an 18 x 6-foot shadow! They say that you get what you pay for, but somebody got much better looks than a new Lexus at a fraction of the price!
  14. Mid70's Chrysler Fanatic

NOT MINE 1973 Chrysler Town and Country - $1,500 - Ringgold, Virginia

The seller evidently can’t decide if it’s a T&C or a Fury? Or he previously sold a Fury and just copied and pasted the text? And 1,234 miles? Too many WTFs in one ad.
  15. Mid70's Chrysler Fanatic

    NOT MINE 1976 Town & Country - $49,555

That insanely priced '76 T&C from Duncan Motors is back - with a big discount to a mere 49.5 grand. I'm fanatic about these cars, but at that price ... WTF?!? I guess I'll have to settle for the '85 Rolls Royce Silver Spirit for half the price. Not nearly as pretty as the Chrysler, IMO. 1976...

    NOT MINE 1969 dodge monaco

The more I see those '69 Polara/Monacos, the more I like 'em! At 19 grand? I'll borrow a line I just saw on the Craigslist Morons' thread: he's really out to lunch. (Not that I could afford it anyway.) I'm guessing that there's a cracked heater core or something; I can't think of any reason to...

NOT MINE 1960 Plymouth Belvedere (Modified & Scary)

Apparently someone can't tell a '60 Belvedere sedan from a '59 Cadillac ambulance (or doesn't care). Moron. Wonder how much it'd cost to unfuck it up (unfuck it down?).
