2bbl carb stall out - problem solved

That’s very cool. I have a Great Northern RR coffee mug, from a visit to a lodge in Montana. Does the truck have axles with the narrow width wheel track so it can ride the rails? PS My cousin worked on the RR in Montana as a supervisor maintaining track in the 80’s. He loved to buy old...

2bbl carb stall out - problem solved

Yes. More often than not when I venture into parts unknown like a carb rebuild, Mr. Murphy is my companion and I find a way to mess up. I’m learning when to stop and not go forth where angels fear to tread. All the little bits and pieces came together on this activity however. I am trying to...

2bbl carb stall out - problem solved

Well so far it’s still working. I may get to a point where I crack open the other carb, but I haven’t yet.

2bbl carb stall out - problem solved

Steve I should send this to you and you can do an autopsy with photos for record! I actually thought about taking it apart and using a light coat of blue printers ink and setting it on top of a piece of glass to see if you could see the surface warpage looking up on the glass.

2bbl carb stall out - problem solved

Holley 2210 2bbl Once warm it would only run at high rpm. If at a stop light I had to put the car in neutral and Rev engine. Once at highway speed it had a rough miss, you could hear and feel it.

2bbl carb stall out - problem solved

Just wanted to post about a stall out problem I’d been having on a 73 Monaco 400 v8 2bbl (rebuilt from Autoline). Car would start fine and run for about 5 minutes, but as soon as it was warmed up, it would stall out. I swapped out the carb with a $50 eBay replacement carb today, and amazingly...

What is a good source of a rebuilt A-727 transmission?

The setup on his/your car doesn’t look factory original. Is it possible it was originally a 2bbl? Is that a 2bbl linkage on a four barrel carb (forgive me if someone already resolved this question, I don’t know the difference by looking). Was the hard shift problem a recently occurring issue...

What is a good source of a rebuilt A-727 transmission?

This is good information on things to check with hard shifting or leaks. Thanks for sharing it. I hope it prevents having to buy a new or rebuilt trans. overseas. That sounds like a huge hassle! I know of a shop here in Winston-Salem that will give a 36 month warranty for a rebuild…but...

    Fuel line question

You can also run 5/16 ID rubber fuel hose between broken sections of line, of course, as a low budget temporary fix, provided the break is 'clean' and you don't have a bunch of dirt inside the line.

    Fuel line question

I am currently using weed eater line to ID where a blockage is in my fuel line. It is surprisingly rigid when pushed in small tubing, and can even go through hard bends. It's a good trick for sunroof drain tubes, too. Just some FYI.
