I think FA 316 is what you need. I just hope Mr. G’s still has some in inventory. I think the clips I needed for the door trim were larger and more rectangular. Bon chance, Phil! Let me know how things work out.

I had to buy two different clip types from Mr. G’s. One type was for roof trim and the other was for door trim. I can’t recall - for which application the FA 316 was used. I hope this helps you.

Phil does the part shown FA 316 look like what you need? When you removed the trim did the parts look like this? From my experience, the plastic on these old cars gets brittle and breaks easily.

Yes it’s Mr. G’s Auto Fasteners. They are in Texas. They are helpful.

The best I can tell you now, is go back to my post #836 “73 Monaco wagon”, June 28 2020. Mr. G’s had those clips as I recall. Sorry I do not have a part number. When you get them, put the clips on those pins on the body first. I believe they have a locking feature, so look carefully and...

Hmm. Can you go back in to my restoration thread and point out the clips? I may have already posted on it. Not sure which clips you mean. I think I got mine from…Mr. G’s? In Texas.

This is really helpful for me because although I would like to rechrome my bumpers I do not think it is in my budget this year. Will have to give the scuff plate polish consideration!

You could probably do paid advertising for Coca Cola with that scheme.

I will look for threads for it! Really liked the black buckets. My beige dash pad is cracked, in a car with a white interior. Am thinking I may spring for a black repro dash pad from Murray Park 'someday', if I get to a place where cosmetics mean that much $$$ to me. Thanks for commenting. Was...

Yes, the heat gun option crossed my mind. "How bad do I really want/need to do this...'now'?" I will probably wait: It is one part of the car that does not have surface not rust. It can wait. Time and money.

That is cool! Looks like a vintage ambulance, sort of. I saw one like that somewhere online that got dragged from abandonment out of a field in western Canada. Is that the same car? Cool.

Thanks, I think I saw a posting of that car, a guy who owned, sold it out of Chicago, I think. I just got mine and trying to figure out what to do with striping: polish, strip, or leave it alone. It's cracked and nasty. I'm on a budget for now and it's low priority compared to getting the car...

Q: is 73 Monaco wagon brown side striping paint, or brown vinyl veneer graphic? I am seeing bizarre oak look (like 70's contact paper) in areas like A-pillar and gas cap door. But wood look veneer appears to be under paint? I hope somebody reads this ultra-trivial post.
