    Radiator Core Support

The puller fan, for which I have installed a shroud, pulls more air than would two puller fans; square inches and CFM. The problem is the the volume of the radiator and with a 22" radiator, it can't cool down once the engine or radiator are hot. To me, it would seem that when both the radiator...

    Radiator Core Support

Still looking for solutions. Weather in Arizona over the winter reduced the heat problem and gave me the opportunity to explore through conversations but with summer coming……..same issue and time to address. Given that and one easy upturn would be to replace the 22” radiator with a 26” without...

    Radiator Core Support

I have a 17" puller fan with a shroud so that is as much fan as can be installed on a 22" X 18" radiator. Given the radiator only holds 2 1/2 gallons, I would question if speeding up or slowing down the flow with a different pump would help; hence a larger radiator? When I pull the radiator...

    Radiator Core Support

Using an after market A/C; Old Air (installed a Vintage Air in my 66 GTO and Old Air is far superior in performance) with condenser mounted in front of the radiator/core support designed and installed by a very good a/c technician. The compressor came with the serpentine set up which had the...

    Radiator Core Support

225 and sometimes +. Used both an electric and mechanical Sport Comp Auto Meter coinciding with steam and fluid coming out of the radiator. Trust me, it’s a heating problem, not a temperature reading problem. How to solve. Getting tired sitting in the driveway with my elbow out the window...

    Radiator Core Support

Wasn’t debating, just seems when discussing heating problems and thermostat temp. A question I would have, because you are very knowledgeable, would a 66 support fit in a 65. Right now I have a very nice car but because of a heating problem it sets in the garage! Frustrating! Sorry, not...

Running a 165 but that means nothing. The thermostat temp only is when the thermostat is wide open, i. e. at 195, both a 195 and the 165 are now both.

Radiator is is OEM specifications with dimensions of...

    Custom Made Radiator Shroud Suggestions

Thanks. I am starting to lean that direction myself. Darele, which is the fan I have to meet my clearances, has a shroud that would work but they won't sell it separately. Their particular set up would have would have worked but it is 3" thickness and I need 2 3/4." 20/20 hindsight I could...

    Custom Made Radiator Shroud Suggestions

Have another post regarding an overheating problem I have. Have a 17” Derale installed now without a shroud and determined installing one is first step in solving problem. Derale, not anyone else, makes one to exactly fit my application. Hence, custom made. Can anyone refer an organization...

    Radiator Overheat.

I may have overlooked the obvious! I was consulting with friend about the problem and he raised a question about the shroud since he has seen my car and questioned why I am not using shroud! I had no answer. He is running a 440 in his 65 SF with the same size radiator that I have without any...

    Radiator Overheat.

Bought an $896 Griffin Radiator which was mis-manufactured, wrong brackets, which because I polished the top, they refused to fix the bracket. Long story except to say STAY AWAY FROM GRIFFIN RADIATOR! They have the customer service of a skunk in a chicken house!
