    Show me your raised whites!....please

Just some useless info. Supposedly, white sidewall tires are cheaper to manufacture and last longer than all black. Russian military keeps sidewalls white for extended storage and keeps them that way for parades as well. However sometimes Russians forget to paint them black when in battle...

Awww Shnikies!!! Mastercraft is owned by Cooper too. I like the word "Avenger GT", but "Mastercraft" just sounds weird.

I'm kinda leaning towards getting these Hercules but I don't know anyone who has tried them. Hercules is owned by Cooper Tire, made in the USA and get the same ratings as Cooper Cobras.....soooo why do they make Hercules Tires then? Maybe for people such as me, who want something different and...

When did outlined raised white letters start? Was that back in the early, mid or late 1970's?

Thanks thrashing. I've been researching painting the letters and found too many problems. Mostly browning due to the excess heat tires generate. This utube guy goes over most of the problems. There's also stick on raised white letters but all I see are influencer reviews who say everything...

Thanks everyone. My car isn't fast at all, so I drive it like a normal car. I don't need performance tires, just looking for something round with nice raised white that won't blow out. Those Coopers aren't too expensive but "Cooper Cobra's" reminds me of that group of kids from the movie...

After 22yrs, I guess its time to get another set...but Kelly discontinued these. There's still plenty of tread since I put less than 1000 miles on every year and its garage kept. No cracks that I can see front or back. Great tires. Maybe I should keep driving on them? The only raised...

Leaf Springs - Would you do it yourself?

If you replace them, don't do what I did. This was in 2002 when google was just a baby. So I couldn't find stock springs anywhere. Mine were rotted and cracked. I found a spring mfr in Cleveland Ohio where I live. Called them and they said they could make a set. I gave them one of the...

Parking brake broke. Any ideas for a quick fix?

Thanks for the great info guys. I didn't see those bolts since about 20 million old wires were in the way. Not much room but If I'm able to get it out, I'll let you know if I can weld it or if I want to buy another one from one of you.

Parking brake broke. Any ideas for a quick fix?

Tooth broke off the lock. Parking brake still works good, here in flat Northern Ohio, but only if I keep my foot on it. Can I just grind that one hinge bolt off and replace the lock assembly or weld a tooth on? Looks like a huge pain to take whole parking brake assembly off. I'm thinking...
