I have a chance maybe to buy a junk '57 Imperial convertible

Do it if you absolutely love '57 Imperials, don't care how much it costs you and will never get close to what you have in it. Also, plan on finishing it while you have good health and can afford spending money without taking a loan. If you don't finish it, no one wants to buy someone else's...

    65 Imperial Air Horns

Yes, they are aftermarket and I would suggest testing them before offering them "For Sale". A short video of them working would also help.

First time she let me down

Interesting story....my friend just helped me with the front brakes on my '78 New Yorker. I purchased the car about 12 years ago with 45k miles and the front brakes pulsated. So we were going to do front pads and rotors. We did the passenger side first without a problem. On the driver's side...

    Tires for '68 Imperial

Look at the owners manual or research on the internet then convert the number to today's metric number. I suspect the P235/75R15 is the correct size for a radial.

    My new ‘67 Imperial convertible

I can relate as my '59 Imperial was purchased by me in 1988. My car was stored in a barn away from where the owner lived. He rarely visited the barn. Some young kids gained entry into the barn, then the cars by breaking the vent windows and forcing down the driver's window. A family of raccoons...

    1964 or 65...

To the best of my knowledge no televisions are made in America anymore. A good counsel T.V. in late '60's and '70's was around $1200.

    1964 or 65...

The car or the T.V.? Just kidding as my counsel T.V. died last year and finally broke down to purchase flat screen. What era is your T.V. from?

Is there a manual override on a 1963 Imperial convertible top ?

No there is not an override. Perhaps you can find a factory service manual online before you consider buying the car. The motor should make noise and its in the middle of the back seat area.

    Imperial R.I.P.

I would not go that far unless the car was untouched from the pics and he would not sell it or any part at all. Some of these people pay up to $2000 for the cars. So maybe there would be a lot of tire kickers then also. The moral of the story is to routinely search for cars of interest, do your...

1:Did you check the bulbs and secondly for current while key is on and in reverse? 2:If number one is done then check the neutral safety switch on the transmission, does it have current leaving the wires. Check off then on. 3: If current is leaving the wire headed to the back of the car check...

    72 Imperial backup light

A factory service manual will help you a lot. The first step after that is purchase a test light. Take the bulb out...look o.k.? tap with your finger to see if element is broken....O.K.? then put in reverse with key on does the test light up?? if not check the switch on the transmission...

How about a one piece front clip on a ‘64 Imperial. I find no seems from the driver’s side A-pillar to the same point on the passenger side. Now that I knew but I did not know of the unibody vs frame issue.
