    Likely the vacuum source for the heater? Most dampers in the heater box are vacuum operated and the vacuum comes from top rear of intake manifold through the heater/AC control switch to reposition dampers for various modes of ops.

    I'd call it a 65 Mopar console shift knob. :poke: I know, not much help, but that's the only place I've seen one and never any aftermarket that I've heard of.

    Three screws on each pod, the electrical plugs (large round one on the gauge pod, two battery terminals on the speedo pod) and the speedo cable itself. The large connector on the right unit is typically a pain in the butt to remove and can fairly easily be damaged.

    The whole dash will be verrrrry difficult as there's screws way close to the windshield. I don't personally know of anyone that has successfully removed one with the windshield in place. Keep us posted!

    Almost - I've yet to see one from the factory that's a tight seam front to rear, seems(pun) like there's always a little gap in that 8 inch stretch of carpet.
