That lens appears to not be a pure rectangle while the gasket does, or is that just the angle of the photo? The lens in fact looks very similar to 65 Polaras with the apparent angles, and may be born out somewhat by the 65 cast in the lens.

He showed some photos a while back, I think the shop predates WWII by a good bit. :D (Can't remember the details that were posted and too lazy to look it up.)

K-D has a tool for those, can't remember the # on it right now though.

That would be fun (at least for 5 minutes or so), but you'd need DoD underwriting to provide fuel.
