    Sun Visor Tips

The sun visors on my '68 Fury don’t clip into the mirror properly - it looks like there is probably a plastic or rubber tip that has fallen apart with age. Does anyone repop them?

Do you have a nice dash pad? How about a working speedometer?

Can you remove and refit inner fenders without pulling the fenders?

Sounds like that would be worth a try. I’ll give it a go when I get to that point.

Can you remove and refit inner fenders without pulling the fenders?

I guess the stud is welded to the stub-frame? Would it help to drill the stud out and tap the frame for a bolt instead?

Can you remove and refit inner fenders without pulling the fenders?

Unfortunately the '67-68 is a different design. As Furygt said, it looks like the radiator support would have to come out too and I’m not sure that can be done without disturbing the fenders. I’ll have a closer look when I pull the motor but I’m leaning towards leaving it all in place.

Can you remove and refit inner fenders without pulling the fenders?

Thanks for the replies. The front clip has never been off and all fits nicely so if I’d have to realign anything I’ll just leave the inner fenders and work around them.

Can you remove and refit inner fenders without pulling the fenders?

Thanks, I don’t really want to pull the whole clip. It’s not a high end resto, I just want to clean it up a bit. I will be rebuilding the front suspension at the same time though.

Can you remove and refit inner fenders without pulling the fenders?

I'd like to pull the inner fenders on my '68 Fury when I swap engines so I can get better access to clean and paint the front stub frame. Can I do this without pulling the outer fenders?

    383 vs 440

Thanks. There’s nothing wrong with 383s but it seems to be easier to find reasonably priced complete 440s round here. If they get about the same economy I might just put a 440 in although I would rather have a 383 for preference.

    383 vs 440

I've not really been that impressed with the small block Mopars I've had and my other Mopars are big blocks so swapping in a big block means I can keep fewer spares around.

    383 vs 440

Thanks for all the responses. I think a very mild 383 will probably get the job done.

    383 vs 440

Thanks for the replies. I don't want to run a small block, I think the big block is a better engine and am not concerned about the work to swap the car over. The motor will be basically stock with shorty headers, dual exhaust and very mild cam. I might consider 2.94 gears but I find 2.76s are...

    383 vs 440

I've got a '68 Fury wagon that I’m going to swap a 383 or 440 into. Not looking for a race car so a 383 would probably be enough power but it seems to be easier to find a 440. How much difference in fuel consumption is there between a 383 and 440? I’d like to get somewhere near 15 mpg at a 70...
