Need positive cable length '68 Fury

OK. I took your advise against my best judgement and called Quirey. They were actually SUPER cool and the guy I spoke to, Todd, opened up a positive cable from their stock and measured it for me. No questions asked. Did me a solid and ended by saying if you have any other questions don't...

Here's the parts catalog page for the '68. You know I'm new to the parts catalog and maybe someone can chime in here and clear the smoke but I see what you're referring to. It may be the correct part number is listed at the bottom (2822 502) and the one I assumed was correct (2926 086) is...

Need positive cable length '68 Fury

Much appreciated! thanks a ton for taking the time to measure. The only measurement I could find (which was online) said 49". I wasn't comfortable ordering something based on one dimension from an online, can't talk to them, outfit. Good to hear from someone who has one in their hands and...

Ha! My grandfather's Fury is my Fury. He bought it new at Jim Rose Chrysler in Petaluma-I still have the plate brackets.

Need positive cable length '68 Fury

Hey, thanks for the offer. I'd like to route the new cable correctly and your photos are a great resource that I can follow. Thanks for taking the time to post those. Elwood looks to be in about the same shape as my '68 when I started this process. With the Fury 2 it's a labor of love. Not a...

Need positive cable length '68 Fury

I really do appreciate all the great suggestions as to where to find an exact replacement cable. There seem to be many options out there. However, I'm having the cable built custom. My existing cable is a mess. It's a goofy replacement that runs directly from the battery to the starter and...

Rog. I didn't watch the vid. but I did notice the relay on your '69. I'd still love to have an actual measurement from someone who replaced their cable recently. Too much $$ to end up short.

Need positive cable length '68 Fury

appreciate your suggestion. I've decided to have a custom cable made up so would appreciate a "good" measurement. Too, I remember from reviewing your ammeter bypass thread that your relay is not in the same location as mine. Mine is located on the inner fender about 8 inches or so from the...

Need positive cable length '68 Fury

I'm hoping someone has gone through this recently (on a 318 Fury) and could offer up a real world measurement.

Need positive cable length '68 Fury

I agree with all. My problem is the car is in Mexico. I'm here. I rely on the forum for so many answers that I could get myself if my car were in front of me. It's frustrating. . . I'm trying to get parts together to throw on the Fury this spring. Cable's one of them. Don't want to...

Need positive cable length '68 Fury

I'm having a custom positive battery cable built for my '68 Fury ll with a 318. Need cable length from battery to starter. The part number for the positive cable is 2926 086 and the official parts catalog does not list a length (they only list a length for the negative-28") Don't want to...

1968 Plymouth Fury Positive Battery Cable

Hey 68plymouth383, I know this is old but I'm replacing the positive cable in my '68 Fury ll. Your install looks very tidy and well thought out. Any chance you have the overall length from battery to starter on this? Io can't seem to find it anywhere and even the parts catalog only lists a...

Are these plug wire holders available??

Good to hear. I really would like to get the parts. The more I look into them the more I find others freaking out about their correspondence- or lack thereof. Sounds like maybe a one man army who also has a day-job. Just can't keep up. Thanks for the response. I'll hope for the best.

Are these plug wire holders available??

Concerned about a scam here. That link you posted seems sketchy- can't get those folks to respond to phone or email... Have you used "Hoover Auto parts" before?

Are these plug wire holders available??

OH Man, that's fantastic! They'e not giving them away but so great that they're available. I looked at the links you sent too (AYILAR) but seemed to mostly be bolt-on holders whereas my valve covers have the tabs welded so looks like Hoover Auto is the best fit. thanks.

Are these plug wire holders available??

I have 4 of these tabs on my valve covers and am wondering if there's an O'reilly's part that attaches to these to hold the plug wires or is this more like a zip-tie scenario? I've looked online but don't see an obvious match. Motor is an LA 318.
