    I got a Station Wagon!

It will look amazing once it's all cleaned up and detailed. Congrats again. I remember that a neighbour up the street had one similar to this new - likely around a 74 - 76 - his was a tan colour, and it had a fantastic vacuum performance gauge on the dash that I thought was excellent. Of...

    '66 Newport 2 Door hardtop

I am interested in how you sealed the windshield - all the C bodies seem to leak, and I would like to fix that. Can you do a more detailed report? I, like all of us here, are very impressed with your efforts and results in getting that car looking and functioning at top level. The grille...

    '66 Newport 2 Door hardtop

Nice. As you likely know, the green O rings are R134A compatible, and are used whenever a fitting has been opened. Git'er charged up and enjoy your AC. My 66 T&C has the most ridiculous AC I've EVER experienced... it doesn't seem to matter what refrigerant I used - it just gets killer cold...

It can be adjusted, as far as I know. My old school rad shop guy did as I sat in the car. Not sure what he did, but he did it. Others here may be able to chime in on the process.

I wondered if that was the case. Nice!

Looks really great!! Did you do the matte black on the profile? Can't tell from the pics.

Lol - been there done that. The abyss is the top of the stub frame rail. If you get a magnetic reacher and go in from underneath, you might get them both back!

I missed following this thread after you'd just gotten the car. Looks great, well done!!

    My Unicorn, eh?

Entire thing. Door card is a generic term for the finished trim panel.

    My Unicorn, eh?

Yeah, I like the USA Monaco/Polara dash, but if you did use that, then you take away a good part of the Canadian uniqueness... the USA dash would bolt right in though.

    My Unicorn, eh?

Identical - 66 USA Sport Fury dash and Canadian Monaco are identical, mounting points and all. I used a USA Fury dash with AC when I restored my first Canadian Monaco (the Turquoise one). Bolted right up. Legendary makes the right seat covers. The only challenge will be finding good quality...

66 fury j code 440 4 speed wagon. numbers matching factory disc brakes and stuff.

Yes - the disc brake single pot single circuit master had a reservoir extension (as can be seen in his photos) to give the system the required fluid capacity and reserve for disc systems. Fairly rare to see nowadays, and should only be used in a show display alongside a functioning dual circuit...

    66 Monaco Wagon Preservation

On your 66 block (if it's original), there isn't one. The practice of adding VIN stampings started I believe in 1968 and it's along the oil pan rail. All your engine will have is a casting date. It should be several weeks to a couple of months prior to the scheduled build date found on your...

Possibly due to being leaned out as it's near the vacuum port for the power brakes etc...

1966 Polara 880: The Build So Far, or "Bring Money".

Never heard of those issues with them... To my knowledge they're only supposed to be installed on the negative battery post in conjunction with a negative ground ground electrical system. People are asking for trouble if they don't follow the instructions. Over the years I have had a couple...

1966 Polara 880: The Build So Far, or "Bring Money".

I'd do the same thing except that I like to keep my clock going and not have to adjust it each time, so I have a small wire that bridges the battery shutoff switch, and I have a small 3 amp inline fuse in it. That way when the cable is disconnected by turning the green knob, the clock keeps...

1966 Polara 880: The Build So Far, or "Bring Money".

Looks like a nice install there Don - what though is the issue you have with the green knobbed ones that sit on the battery?
