That's my guy - he used to be here under the name Kurazy Joe - but he had some issues with where he lived and he went dark. I'm glad to hear that he's up and at them again.

Sadly, I don't think so. However, as I understand it, you can make them yourself using the old diaphragm as a template.

Help!!!! Column Assembly for a father son project.

Not necessarily. At first yes, but it gets tighter as it seats. That's why we have steering wheel pullers. Plus, it's on the splined shaft in a T&T, so you must align the master spline on each.

Help!!!! Column Assembly for a father son project.

The C clip holds the horn contact ring in place, against a very stiff spring. T & T specific I believe. A special tool is required to depress the ring to allow the c clip to slide in place. Those pics you found are all non T&T columns - way different. Talk to the Cadillac people - they'll...

Help!!!! Column Assembly for a father son project.

Do you have the factory service manual and the factory parts catalogue for your car? It's very worthwhile making the investment. You can likely find on on line, or buy an actual hard copy from a retailer like Bishko. Bishko shows both available on CD. Get them. Bishko Automobile Literature...

78 NYB w/ 4k miles not for sale

Even with no use, the plastic bushing that breaks dries out and becomes brittle. I'd be worried too.

78 NYB w/ 4k miles not for sale

Reference quality. Should be documented heavily with pics for restorers, as these cars are now the next in line for serious restorations. Unusual that the car was optioned without skirts. Rare, but not unheard of. I only recently found out that in 77 or 78 (?) skirts became an option on the...

    Front Dash Speaker Recommendation(s)

I work in the music biz, and trouble shooting is the name of the game for audio... No sound? Start at the beginning (or the end) and work to the other end. It's a pathway, and all parts must be in working order. Don't assume ANYTHING until you ascertain the issue(s). 1) Check that the...

My "source" makes them new in reproduction, but he's currently without a shop facility, and I don't know when he'll be back in business.

Hesitation when first putting foot on gas.

So - looking at you picture, I see it's not a Carter AFB - and hence my advice may be wrong. To increase the fuel squirt, you want the arm that pushes the pump diaphragm to get the longest push... so the shorter/lower slot (which in your carb's case is opposite to where I thought it would be)...

Hesitation when first putting foot on gas.

"Maybe the accelerator pump on your carb?" ^^This^^. Classic symptom. Move it to the middle or closest hole to the centre of the pump piston to get more of a fuel squirt.

    Tilt/Telescope Lock Function-‘76 New Yorker

The rod sits in the shaft, and touches a mechanism that if pressed on by the rod, pushes out or expands a shoe or clutch that grips the sliding parts and prevents their movement.

    Tilt/Telescope Lock Function-‘76 New Yorker

You shouldn't even have to remove the column - unless it's to ascertain whether that rod is in the shaft that the Lock/Unlock bolt threads into. The only real way that I've found to remove that rod is to turn the column upside down... I found a blow up in the 1970 Parts Catalogue - and while...

    Tilt/Telescope Lock Function-‘76 New Yorker

I don't know if this applies for your year, but I suspect the basic design is the same. On a 66 telescoping steering wheel lock, the "adjusting lock/unlock ring" that you turn to lock/unlock is actually screwed to a smaller bolt with a big head with multiple holes in it (which I'll call the...

    Interior

Ken Weinstein advertises in the WPC News, and sells NOS aftermarket seat covers. This is the text of his ad, although I don't think he does email any more. I would call. Seatcovers 1949-80 for bench seat cars (no bucket seats), usually plaid vinyl, $99 per car, hog ring pliers $10. Please...

My latest purchase a 1976 Newport custom

I would think the Highlander would be a fairly rare option... worth NOT parting out if the car is fixable. SMS would have the fabric almost undoubtedly, and any decent shop could sew up those covers.
