If your only finding 26 inch radiators another option would be to change the radiator support to a 26 inch opening. I’ve done that swap before on 67 Plymouth from 22 inch 318 to 68 dodge 26 inch 383 radiator. A easy swap with better cooling results.

I was asking because I had somebody asking me for a 67 imperial auto temp unit. They were asking if it was a auto temp 1 or 2? I’m not sure how to tell? Are A/T 1 and 2 both available on the same year/model?

Can someone briefly explain the auto temp 1-2 to me. I know there is a problem with them working? One is more desirable than the other? We’re both available on the same model? What years did start producing auto temp and when did they stop?

They look to be the same firewall on 60-64 dodge/Chrysler/Plymouth? Are the box holes different? Sizes?

It’s the hack radio hole that bothers me. Every time I look at it!! I’m thinking the easy button short term solution will be to cover radio hole with radio delete panel.

My daily driving project car is a 61 Fury 361 GC with 3 on the tree. It had a aftermarket radio and hacked dash frame. My plans are to change dash frame. I have 3 parts car dash frames to choose from,but they are all factory A/C frames. A/C in 61 Plymouth is fairly rare and was very expensive...

FWIW, I once took a 383 4v A/C 26 inch radiator support and radiator out of a 68 polara and put it all in 67 fury conv 318 22in non A/C car. All fit perfect! Easy swap. I have a rust free 70 26 radiator support and radiator available? Not sure about interchange with earlier models?

I was scrapping at old friends house and he gave me about 10 vintage Chrysler A/C compressors. I have about another 10 here already,maybe more if I start looking. Is there anybody who buys or rebuilds these as cores? Or are they just scrap.

JMO, it's a mistake to not to use your shroud. If your having cooling problems. A shroud offers much cooling ability to the radiator.

$500 sounds about right to me. Radiator shops that repair copper brass radiators are kinda of a thing of the past. Recoring a copper brass is a skill that just isn't handed down anymore. Radiator shops today are more like new aluminum radiator wherhouses.

What about just using a factory 64 65 66 imperial trans cooler?
