1969 Plymouth Sport Fury Original Paint Survivor

Awesome story! She made a great choice. I likely would have chosen the same car only in a different color.

    69 fury 318 oil filter

The Wix catalog says 51515 is the correct filter. These were referred to as "the long Chrysler" or "Ford" oil filters. The 51068 and 51085 are the "short" version. Many filters will fit and work, but the smaller filters will not cover the oil filter mounting plate. I would suggest next oil...

Bought this 70 Fury III for parts

I'll have to agree its very odd to see a fleet hardtop car. However always thinking Police agencies used Fury Is I began noticing many used Fury IIs and IIIs. I guess its how the agency specked out the car.

    1970 Fury I stripper!

Very interesting. I have a 71 exactly like yours. I decided to pull the engine to do a major engine bay detail and freshen up the engine. I lost interest and once the car is back together it's going to a guy in Florida who bought it from me.

Poverty dishes or dog caps or whatever they are called

IMHO That car calls for full wheel covers and whitewall tires. Putting black wall, raised white letters and hub caps will be doing that gorgeous car a grave dis-service. It's a Chrysler, not a Dodge or Plymouth. As per the sales brochure the car wasn't offered with hub caps. The upgrade was...

1973 Fury 1 with 225 slant six engine

71 was the last year for a "non-fleet" Slant 6 C body. After 72 both the Dodge and Plymouth C Body fleet cars (Police and Taxi) were available with a Slant 6. First one I have seen.
