Tech tip: How to align ur own suspension at home

Agreed. Toe should be measured at the center of the tire and not where it is convenient to measure.

How are you going to measure thrust angle? How about simple toe adjustment? String or tape measure? from what points? Just asking.

Will an electric impact wrench give satisfactory results vs air wrench?

Cordless is very powerful nowdays. You should be fine with a wrench. Most 3/8 are powerful enough for most car lug nuts. Don't get a driver they work great for light stuff. I sold Dewalt 1/2" that was capable of removing drive wheel nuts off a combine. Who needs a air or corded impact for car...

    Show me your raised whites!....please

I have had issues with BFG's turning brown on the edges and nothing on the planet will stop them from browning out. In fact, BFG has been warrantying some because of the issue. I would think about Cooper Cobra's or Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/T

    Tire balancing question

The ones on the front would almost jerk the wheel out of your hand. The rear ones would do the Wah Watusi. They seemed to separate where the belt ends meet.

    Tire balancing question

No, no, no, no it was the Uniroyals. You could replace them with just about anything and the broken belt issues would disappear. See how that works?

    Tire balancing question

Ha! I worked at the Buick dealer back then. Uniroyal Tiger Paw tires with broken belts. They were a joke and people were pissed. . So much for low bid!

    Tire balancing question

I have balanced thousands of tires in my career. Back in the old bubble balance days, (static balance) we would use 4 one ounce weights, split with 2 on the back and 2 on the front. It seemed to do a good job splitting the weight and getting a better balance. Of course we used that much weight...

    Tire balancing question

One is for static balance and the other is for dynamic balance. By spinning a tire up on a balancer, you can easily see if it is out of round or has a broken belt.
