1963 pic of Tom Snedens front yard near Hyattsville, Maryland showing Bob Banning Dodge '63 race cars cars. Mr. Banning said that he called Plymouth to order a new 64 Hemi Plymouth and they told him he could not get one. (He had already ordered the 64 Hemi Dodge) He was so mad he told Plymouth...

That Musso station was just south of Alexandria (town of Hybla Valley to be specific) on Route 1. Somehow during the gas crisisisisisss, that independent station always had gas. Long gone now. As for that GTO....is that Grumpy filling it up? I don't see a cigar, but maybe he left it in the...

That group of Dart pics really got my attention. My first real car in 1973 was a 68 GT, 318 4 speed, bucket seats. By 1975 it got a built (by me) 340 T/A, Hurst SuperShifter and a 4:30 gear. Here's the 340, getting it ready to go in, long ago. I'm the engine mount guy. Can't remember whose...

I wonder what the "groovy" staffers at Car Craft would think now of those hemi/shaker/convertible Cudas going for millions.

I think that's exactly what's going on here. Coat the windshield with "frost", start the car and let it warm the engine/coolant either at idle or under power (the rollers) to test the defroster, record how many minutes, how heavy the frost, make changes, etc. That way they're not waiting for...

At first I thought it was Prince Street in Old Town Alexandria (that I'm very familiar with for a good chunk of my life). It's pretty close, but no.

There's a few but I don't mind. The nostalgia aspect is obvious, but the overall history lesson we're getting from these pics is priceless. I recently started at page 1, saving pics that really appeal to me (hundreds!), and now I'm at page 61. Lots and lots of photos to go until I get to...

Have I said this before? This is the best thread in the history of Al Gore's internet. Yeah, I've said it before, and I'm quite sure I'm right.

That awning really is a nice touch! Bravo to the architect. I do indeed remember that dealership well. Peck was a big player in DC (along with Ourisman), and that building was the personification of "60's built" dealerships--as we see so often in @Welder guy 's wonderful Classic Pictures...

She completely agrees with you that it could be her twin even when considering the 30+ year difference in age.

I think we have a winner!

The Plymouth emblem that we've been discussing here now has a new home. That box you see on his hood? It's freshly arrived from Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida!

Is this the same gal, some 45+ years later? I'll find out!

Just off the phone with "A". I emailed her those GTX pics and honestly, she had to think about it for a bit. "It looks like me, but I don't remember the go-go boots. When was that taken?" I said sometime 69-70 probably. She said "No....I did some modeling in Detroit for cars, and something...
