Thread pitch of front brake cylinder line nut, 68 Chrysler?

Actually, I ordered front lines and cylinders from NAPA -- was actually a better price than Rockauto (no shipping charge) and I'm supporting a local business so win-win in my book...

Thread pitch of front brake cylinder line nut, 68 Chrysler?

yeah and they told me they don't have fittings that do have the flat shoulders. I assume the brake cylinder doesn't have any kind of taper that that would snug into? (I can't look right now) EDIT: ehh nevermind, I asked for a refund. I'm done wasting my time trying to make these fit. It's...

Thread pitch of front brake cylinder line nut, 68 Chrysler?

The inline fitting is on the left, the Chrysler fitting on the right.

Wilwood drum to disk brake conversion kit

Could it be that the Wilwood rotors are made out of better materials? Also, thinner rotors would shed their heat more quickly than thick so that would be a plus. But I guess they would also heat up more quickly and be more likely to warp if overheated, again, unless the design and/or materials...

Thread pitch of front brake cylinder line nut, 68 Chrysler?

Below is from my order receipt. Yes, I know #2 doesn't show Chrysler but when you put in 68 Chrysler this item comes up. I called them on the phone and the guy on the other end assured me it was the correct part and explained they just didn't have enough room in the description to put every...

Wilwood drum to disk brake conversion kit

Is this what you ordered? I'm weighing the option of a kit like this vs. going with a 69-72 setup

Thread pitch of front brake cylinder line nut, 68 Chrysler?

Well that's a fine how-do-you-do. If that's the case, then I'm going to expect Inline Tube to allow me to return those for a refund. If not, I'll be pretty PO'd.

Thread pitch of front brake cylinder line nut, 68 Chrysler?

When I find out what I actually need I will probably have to source adapters from somewhere else as the rep at Inline said "we unfortunately do not have a more coarse threaded fitting"

Thread pitch of front brake cylinder line nut, 68 Chrysler?

I bought a set of steel braided soft lines from Inline Tube and it's been a disaster so far. When I went to install the rear line, I discovered that all three lines had the wrong size female end on them. I communicated with Inline support and they sent me new fittings...twice (the first...

Oh wow, cool. Nice work! I'll be really interested in hearing about how the brake action is once you get it all together and working

    hydroboost mod on 69' 300

I'd never heard of this thing before so I had to look it up, very interesting. I notice on the Hydratech site they don't have a kit for the C-body. Which kit did you use here?

    Subframe preparedness

Eastwood sells a frame coating spray can that comes with a 2-ft hose w/ a 360-degree "fan" nozzle attached to the end. I used when I did some repair to the rear uni-"frame" on our old Honda Odyssey and it went on real nice. I can't comment on how durable it'll be (yet) but it seemed every bit...

    PST or Firm Feel...

One thing I've always thought would help would be to split the air shocks air lines so they don't share the same line. I've heard that when you have a single air line, when you go around a turn, the pressure from the outside shock pushes the inside shock up, exaggerating lean in the turn. I...

    PST or Firm Feel...

Oh yes, I don't doubt you. I'd love to do a full suspension upgrade, but don't have the time right now. The FF sway bar made a big difference on my 68 300 convertible though, all else being the same, so I consider it a pretty good bang-for-the-buck and also for the time.

    PST or Firm Feel...

Thanks. I'm not really trying to get the absolute most out of the handling, more just want to reduce the wallowing and body roll. The 1 1/8" did a fine job on the convertible so I'll probably just go with that for the coupe. btw, the air shocks wouldn't have been my choice, but since they're...

    PST or Firm Feel...

I'm going to order a front sway bar from Firm Feel for our 68 300 coupe. But I'm up in the air over which diameter to choose. On our 68 300 convertible, we installed the 1 1/8" front sway bar and I'm happy with it. But I'm wondering if the 1 1/4" be even better? (bigger is better, right...

    Can't be aligned?

Thanks for all the tips and advice. It was so long ago, I honestly can't remember the full details of this story. It was probably just not alignable without some sort of, possibly costly, repair. I was in college at the time and had almost no money so my Dad was helping me out. And he...
