I never thought about it but basically the same exact thing happened to me. It wasn't long after the push rod needed replaced. Sounds like anyone replacing the cam should go-ahead and replace the push rod at the same time.

That is a huge understatement. I love to see your kid's interest too, you obviously have a wealth of knowledge. Great to see the next generation, in your corner of the world, will be passing on some of that knowledge too.

I had a similar experience with finding Goldie's original owner. Now I need to actually meet up with her kids. Seems like something I need to do this summer.
Probably taken by the newspapers. Even in the 80s most local papers were still in black and white so the pictures taken in black and white too. I think The New York Times held out until the 90s, because they didn't think a "real" newspaper needed color to sell their paper. :)
After I posted that I wondered about you climate. Yes 110F is a little hot in a convertible, and you are just hitting spring now correct? Wow what are your highs in the summer? I don't drive mine much above 90F unless I can keep the car moving and not be in traffic.
