    67 Monaco Dash lights

not a unusual issue with most Mopar's. The headlight switch has a rheostat that operates the dash illumination lights. They tend to suffer contact issues through the years. Not even a NOS switch will always correct the problem. I sent my 67 Polara switch to a fellow who advertises on ebay to...

My timing mark is jumping around.

I think it's time for a timing gear set. A double roller set will last you as long as you need it.

    1960 Plymouth fury electrical problems!!

Reflector..... Yes. relay is for the power windows. My 61 Fury has that in the same location. I did a ebay search and there are several original and reproduction, as well as CD service manuals for 60 Dodge listed.

    1960 Plymouth fury electrical problems!!

You may be right. My 61 Fury does have a couple of fuses in a small block under the dash. The radio has a separate inline fuse. 60 and 61 shared a common service manual with a supplement for 61, not sure if Dodge did this. Best bet, get a manual. It will contain a wiring schematic for your car.

    1960 Plymouth fury electrical problems!!

More likely as not, the turn signal switch in the steering column is faulty. Very common. The 12Volt wire in the column connector is the feed to the switch. There should be a second "hot" wire there, (white I think), for the brake light switch. There is a fuse block, very basic. It will likely...

    Fuel sender unit

I got everything on the dash working now except the fuel gage. The indicator comes off the peg and stops at the empty mark. Good signal and good ground. I suspect the sender. Has anyone had good results with one of the aftermarket senders on the market? Their pretty proud of the NOS units I've seen.

Accessing spark plugs on driver side

#5 & 7 can also be accessed threw the fender apron if you remove the tire. Still a PITA. A section of rubber hose slipped over the plug will help.

    Backfire, wont start.

Intake-compression-power-exhaust. the 4 strokes. You want the piston at the top between compression and power stroke. The rotor at #1. Use some chalk or a paint pencil to mark the damper timing mark.

    383 dual point dist

I intend to retain the points in mine. If I wanted to convert to electronic I would replace the whole dist.

    383 dual point dist

I was trying to figure out why the new dist cap I got from halifaxhops at Carlisle last July wouldn't fit my 67 383. I removed the rotor and took a good look at the dist.... Then had a "WTF" moment. My car has a dual point dist in it. I did not realize that until today. The shop manual does...

    Wiper motor

Probably would Matt. My first thought was to keep it as a spare for my Polara. But it has a 2 speed wiper, and there's the connector issue. I'll need to test it to be sure it works. I also have a NOS 67-68 3 speed switch.

    Wiper motor

Same in the 67 parts book Matt, sometimes they lie. The wiper motors, 67-68-69-70 are all identical.... EXCEPT for the connector. 67-68 same, 69-70, and perhaps beyond are as this one is. If you just go by the numbers then there's a 50/50 chance of being right.

    Wiper motor

The number stamped into the motor seems to cross over to several years and model cars. I would have thought the connector being different would change the part number. I still haven't exactly verified the application I don't think it's earlier then 1969.
