    Need matching vinyl

Welcome Murray. There is a search box at the top of the page. You can usually find the answer to any questions you have about your C body there. Same as what my 67 Polara has., I went to a local trim shop and looked through their manufacturer sample books. I found an exact match, right down to...

    Interior restoration

I've used Legendary on a couple restorations in the past. Highest quality, great customer service. If they don't offer your seat covers than custom stitched at a high end trim shop is a good way to go. Expensive either way, but the good stuff always costs more.

    bench seat cover

Just bite the bullet and have a trim shop rebuild the seat with a custom sewn seat cover using your original as a pattern. You won't regret spending the money once it's done. Any material you need is available. (JMHO)

    1969 Imperial Carpet

Julian. I posted a thread about carpet alternatives a short time ago, but it looks like it got deleted in the site issues. ACC is the only game in town for molded carpets and their quality leaves a lot to be desired. As you know I am restoring a 61 Plymouth Fury. NO ONE even claims to offer a...

    1969 300 seats

:welcome: If Legendary seat covers are used you will need the little metal buckles in the seat backs. They are not included in the reproduction covers. Back seat covers are easy to replace but I would recommend having the fronts professionally installed.

    1969 300 CONVERTIBLE CARPET ISSUES

I used a heat gun to warm the floor pan as I installed the "Fat Mat" and a roller to push the mat into the recessed areas. I like seeing the recessed areas, but that's just me. Once installed the mat acts as a membrane seal on the floor pans and likely will never need to be removed if the pans...

    1969 300 CONVERTIBLE CARPET ISSUES

After cleaning, prepping and sealing the floor in my 69 300 convertible I applied a insulated sound deadener similar to dinomax but much less expensive. Then a ACC carpet. Hardtop and convertible use the same carpet. The sound deadener made a huge difference in both reducing road noise and heat...

    Door panel progress

That's some top quality work there. Hats off to you. FYI..... Vinal upholstery material can be bought at most trim shop suppliers for much less that legendary, SMS, or Year One will charge. Search the sample books at a good trim shop and anything in vinal can be found. I bought 10 yards of...

    Interior upgrade cost

A pair of bucket seats will cost around $1K, rear seat around $8-900, Headliner should cost around $500.00, including the materials. A carper set is about $250-300.00, easy to do yourself. Hourly labor rate in most reputable shops will be $100.00 hr. My trimmer had my front bucket seats done...

    Source for vintage upholstery

If your looking for vinal than go to any well established trim shop and ask to look at their suppliers sample books. Take a good example of your original. I saved $700.00 over SMS and found a exact match for my pearl white 61 Plymouth vinal in both color and texture. I needed 8 yards but they...

    '65, '66 Fury Upholstery Sources

Are those vinal, or cloth and vinal? Looks like you need about everything. Perhaps keep your eye out for a parts car with decent interior. SMS likely can supply the cloth, vinal can be found through a local trim shop supplier.

Yea, dealing with them after placing an order is like dancing on a bed of nails. You need to be nice even though their inconfidence makes you crazy and want to yell....! Their sense of logic is totally different than most folks. I sometimes wonder if SMS is like a restricted access institution.

    SMS lead time

Just plan on your project being 3 to 4 years down the road. Timing should be perfect. Once the quoted time has expired you need to become a squeaky wheel. Just remember to be nice, hard as that sometimes seems.
