oh and rustoleum makes a similar to product to plastidip called "peel coat" and duplicolor calls it "custom wrap"

    Plastic Dip Spray

Ive never done wheels with it but I would based on my other experiences. I used it for the back of carpets to make them nonslip, the frost color for windows. As far painting goes, I did my old magnums and used playing cards for the center circumference and then after sanding the insets a...

    Aluminum trim polishing

Here is an older thread. Aluminum door sill restoration? While I now have a buffer I used a drill and compared to what is was at the beginning I'm happy enough. I took off the anodizing and left it with Mothers wheel wax. I rewax 1x a year. Kind of like power washing once you get working you...

    Installing cat whiskers

I used aluminum rivets with black heads in place of the staples. Didnt really consider the scratch thing cuz they were new but I guess its possible at some time in the future.

CHRYSLER 300 CONVERTIBLE CHROME BOOT MOULDING - REAR SEAT

The marine Keder I linked to is just about the same but instead of a vinyl mtrl its a fabric welded to a flexible plastic core. And its designed to slide out. I would want to test fit as the original channel is not completely circular. They sell it on amazon.

CHRYSLER 300 CONVERTIBLE CHROME BOOT MOULDING - REAR SEAT

My memory must be failing. Forgot my trim piece has the vinyl strip still attached...not sewn into the boot. Gotta get that fixed or like I said find an alternate way of creating a more easily removable boot cover.

CHRYSLER 300 CONVERTIBLE CHROME BOOT MOULDING - REAR SEAT

Ok, so once attached to the strip it's not intended to be removable. Does seem like a pain. I may do what rip said but add my L bracket plus maybe velcro or maybe somehow use ceramic magnets to make the removable connection.

CHRYSLER 300 CONVERTIBLE CHROME BOOT MOULDING - REAR SEAT

yup, tonight after work. We need the opposite things! The female groove is not round. If you are a DIY person, until you find one, perhaps a 1/2 x 1/2 angle aluminum stock could be bent to fit the seat contour. Polish it up and for $10 you have a base to MacGyver an attachment point.

CHRYSLER 300 CONVERTIBLE CHROME BOOT MOULDING - REAR SEAT

Although I have the aluminum trim in question my boot (came with car years ago) does not have any obvious way of attaching it. I'd love a pic of the "stiff plastic piece". As for your situation perhaps marine flexible Keder rail would work. I was considering sewing on the Keder onto my boot if...

Source of spray paints at good prices

Ive bought from JB Tools before and for some reason their prices on spray paints and things like jb-weld are better than most places/sites including amazon and even walmart. Especially when you look at the unusual brands like Seymour that I usually only see at car shows. Their shipping is like...

Is this the correct antenna? 70 Fury

Do they make just a replacement mast? Thats all I need. Maybe I'll solder a few hangers together into a helicoil. BTW looks like most other places selling that antenna pkg for $100.

Wetsand, cut, and buff - how to?

I used the same DA throughout the process with compounds and sanding foam pads. For everything and all compounds. I really like it and the ability to change speeds and pressure gives me options on how much I want paint/correction I want to remove. The one I used was from Harbor Freight but mine...

Wetsand, cut, and buff - how to?

I agree that fresh enamel is a complete mystery to me. Yes a painter should have a suggestion on time to wait and maybe temperature. Having said that Ive had good luck with trying less aggressive techniques and then if it didn't work go over it again with a more aggressive approach. Yes you will...

Flex Seal on a vinyl top

Based on the way it stuck and stayed on my convertible top (drip accident) I say use Penetrol. It will soak in and wick into all the cracks and as a bonus stop the rust. It will stay moderately flexible. I've used it for rust prevention with success and covered faded black plastic with it too...

Not C-body Or Mopar Related BUT Paint Related; VHT Gloss Clear.....

When you guys are spray paint shopping you might try JBtools. For some reason they always are lower priced then most places including in store and especially amazon. With their shipping costs it only makes sense to get a few cans at a time. Plus they have good prices on epoxies, glues, JBWeld...

    Road Wheel Paint

Another option is to paint over the chrome and with a damp cloth (lacquer thinner) gently rub it off the chrome only. Paint comes chrome easy. Even easier if its only been on there 24hrs or so. Make sure you change up the cloth to avoid paint buildup and for sure don't put too much thinner on to...

    Touch up paint pen

For scratches, not bigger areas, Ive had luck painting with toothpicks with the tip broken off just a little. The paint stays in a line and can be compounded down to flat if needed.

    Keeping aluminum finish

You might check brake caliper paint. They are all high heat. Also the VHT is 1/2 price of amazon here at JBtools. They also are out of stock on many things but this is available. Cheap enough to experiment. I use these guys for spray paint. For whatever reason they are usually 1/2 price on...
