Its very possible the reason your rear brakes wont bleed is.... The rear brake hose is shot. Get a new one at NAPA for 25.00 bucks.

Dont forget to replace all 3 brake hoses.

Start bleeding from the farthest to the closest wheel from the master cylinder. The systems are separate .

If the shoes are on correctly. The front hoses could be shot. And a old master cylinder can hold residual pressure.

Check the source of vacuum to the booster, The hose it's self and all connections.

If your pedal is hard it usually means the power booster is dead or not getting enough vacuum. If you replace the master cylinder , bleed it and each wheel it's the wheel cylinders and or the brake hoses. Don't forget about the hose that goes over the rearend.
