The fury has a 360 engine. I thought I heard something is different between the 360 and 318 engine.

Ok. Just got the left seal out. How does the bearing surface look? This is the side with the cracked race.

I adjusted the bearings and it seemed to take up a lot of play in the bearings. I took out the right side first and the left side. I cleaned them and looked at them and they seem to look ok but I did see a cut in the bearing race on the left side.

Ugh!!!!! Just took the drum off the left side and there is quite a bit of play in and out as well as up and down. I guessing the bearings are done

I pulled at the axle flange on the right side and there is very little play. I haven’t taken off the left side since I’m scared at what I might find

hi all. I discovered my rear axle seals are leaking bad on the right side of my 68 fury. I'm guessing I have to deal with the bearing adjustment when I take it apart?

The numbers are stamped poorly. I found the number on my mopar.com but the 8 looks like a 3. I think the first two letters are DK.

Here are pictures of the numbers. The first two letters on the drivers side looks like DK

Considering that the car has 139 thousand miles on it and without crawling underneath to check the numbers I'm guessing it's the original tranny I probably will have it rebuilt. I'll look for the numbers when it gets a little warmer here.

Where is the best place to get a complete rebuild kit from? Also I'm not sure if the car has its original tranny. Where and what numbers should I look for?
