Define the heat. Are you running steel wheels? When you take for a drive do you get out and put your hand on the center of the wheel, too hot to the touch?
If it’s truly getting hot you are cooking those wheel bearings
FirmFeel probably best to buy for the quality. Beware, you must be leberal with the grease when you install these. If not the squeaking will drive you nuts.
Years ago I had a 67 Fury vert that I did a disk conversion. I can't remember what I used but the spindles and rotors were off a later C body. The calipers were single piston.
